...I nervously started reading:
<< Dear Lucy,
Today, you are reading this letter, and probably I already died. I just wanted you to know that I love you from the bottom of my heart. Do whatever you find right. This boy is really handsome, I hope he will bring happiness in your life. I want you to know that I'll always be there for you.
With love,
Grandma'.>>After reading it, I started crying. Oliver came, turned me to face him, buried my face in his chest, and started petting my back. I was quietly sobbing in his arms. After some time, I fell asleep in his arms. I woke up because of the sun illuminating my face. I realized I was on the bed, hugging Oliver. His arms were around my shoulders. I kissed him to wake him up. He opened his eyes and smiled at me.
-Good morning, beautiful.
-Good morning.
-How did you sleep?
-Good, thus to you. Thanks for staying here with me.
-Of course I would stay. How could I leave such a beautiful girl alone?, he smiles and gave me a peck on the lips.
I arranged the bed sheets and we went to the kitchen. Since my parents were still sleeping, I started cooking the breakfast. While I turned my back facing Oliver, he was staring at my butt. I cooked eggs and bacon, pancakes and orange juice. Soon, my parents came into the kitchen.
-Good morning everyone. Wow Lucy, everything looks so delicious., dad said.
-Thanks, now come and eat. We got hungry for a hundred times while waiting for you two.
They sat down, and we silently ate. After some time, we went to get ready for the cremation.
I looked at myself in the mirror, while Leo was behind me, and my eyes were getting watery.
-Grandma' would love this dress.
-It's okay, you look wonderful.
-Thanks., I said and quietly was wiping my tears off.
We all went in my dad's car and went to the Lake Laconia, in New Hampshire, where we wanted to to a family memorial, without any strangers. Mom and dad said a few words and then was my turn.
-You never said I'm leaving
You never said goodbye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knew why.A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill.It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone
For part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.I quietly went back in Oliver's arms, while mom took grandma's ashes, and was ready to throw them in wind when I said:
-Wait!
She looked at me in confusion and then, I took the necklace around my neck, opened it, and putted some ashes inside.
Then I went back in place, put the necklace back around my neck and quietly whispered:
"Forever in my heart, from the beginning, till the very end."
We went to eat in her honor, and at evening, we went back home in Boston. In 2 hours, I was already at home. I said goodbye to Oliver, and went inside my house without waiting for my parents to come. I went inside my room, and started painting...
