Love to hate (slowly upgrading and editing)

Chapter 2

Cassie pov.

I was unpacking the boxes that l brought to my new home. I was starting with the living room. I had got my furniture shipped; they said the furniture would be here by tomorrow. I had got my furniture from a nearby furniture store. I was so happy that I had moved away from the chaos.

The door open and closed and I know l locked my door, So I knew exactly who it was.

Ezra, l screamed and ran and jumped in his arms.

-Cassie- l missed you so much

-Ezra- l knew you would

Ezra put me down on my feet and gave me a tight squeeze I could not stop smiling.

-Cassie- So why did you come down here.

-Ezra- Duh, for you, you can't be living down here by yourself. And plus, I couldn't leave you if I tried.

Ezra is my best friend. We've known each other since diaper days. We are inseparable. He's just a friend, he can be a little protective of me at times. Ezra didn't know my ex - boyfriend Jason, Ezra stayed out of town I was glad but also sad because I didn't have my friend with me. Another reason I was relieved is because if he would have met Jason it would have been some problems and I would have been in the middle. I promised my brother's if he cheats on me again, I will leave Jace and that is exactly what I did.

Ezra found out that I was moving, he said he was coming. Because he said he didn't want me to be alone.

My family in Memphis are already settled down and they didn't want to move their whole family down here just for me, so Ezra volunteered to come with me. 

 "How did you get my address, and how did you find me." I asked Ezra

"Easy silly, your mom" stated Ezra

Me and my mom haven't been on good terms, so how did she get my address and how did she even know where I moved to. How could she give it to Ezra, not that I don't mind.  It's just I still have some unsolved business with Jace. If Jason saw Ezra and it would cause chaos in my fresh start here in Miami.

 "You know me, and my mom aren't on good terms." I informed Ezra.

"Yeah, but me and her are" stated Ezra and I straight faced him. "Like really"

 "I came down to Memphis to start my career and I was looking for you. She told me you moved to Miami a few days ago. She also told me about Jason." stated Ezra giving me the side eye

"Oh, sh*t, please don't bring him up. You might talk him up. Which will lead to him coming down here looking for me. We still have some unfinished business." I stated with an eye roll and clinched fist

"My question is why would you let him do that to you." stated Ezra looking at me like I know my worth. His head cocked to the side waiting for the answer.

"You know what Ezra let's not get into that conversation right know I have to finish unpacking." I responded avoiding the conversation Ezra wanted to have with me. 

"Okay, but we are going to talk about it later." Ezra stated giving me a side eye.
