Chapter 10

"Hey! Back off!" Simon shouts and helps me up, my father grabs a hand full of my hair and pulls me out the door "SIMON!?" I shout and he grabs my hand, Tora helps out and kicks my fathers leg "stupid fucking brat!" My father shouts and slaps Tora "no, stop it!" I shout and I see Tora lying on the floor crying...Nanny McPhee...please...help us...help me "you're coming home!" My mother shouts and tries to grab me "I am home, this is my home, I have a family, a real family that loves me for being me!!" I shout and their expressions were priceless, Simon holds me close whilst Mr.Brown and Evangeline holds the children close to them "you worthless bitch" my mother says and turns to the outside "HELP, SOMEONES KIDNAPPED MY DAUGHTER!!" My 'mother' shouted

I knew this far to well, I'm not leaving an amazing family, I fled them once, I can do it again, I kicked her shin and she screamed in pain "YOU LITTLE-!" She was interrupted by the people behind her and father holding them back, they obviously heard her, she was taken away along with father, they were 'hanged' for abuse, rape and many others

~5 Years later~

It's been 5 years since I ended up with the Brown's family, Mr.Brown has himself a new wife, Evangeline, I haven't had the courage to confess my feelings to Simon yet, we are now what? 20 years old? And yet I still have a crush on him, god I'm such a child sometimes. We were having dinner and Mr.Brown has become more at home then he usually is. My baby died after it was born, but I wasn't even ready back then. I kept staring at Simon's girlfriend that he's been dating for some time now, lucky. I was about to say something but Simon's girlfriend beat me to it, it's like I have no say in this house anymore, like I never even existed, only Tora has realised this since the accident and when Simon's girlfriend, Britney, came here "so, this was a lovely dinner" Britney said and Simon kissed her cheek, did I forget to mention that she moved in two weeks ago? No? Well...I just told you

"Thank you Britney" Mr.Brown says, he looks over at me and sees I haven't touched my supper, I haven't eaten much since she came here and I don't plan to until she leaves. I look down and play with my hands "you haven't touched anything Ashley" he says and I look up, the sadness in he's eyes is more upsetting then it should be "I'm not hungry" I said, forcing a smile "sweetie, you haven't eaten probably for a while now" Evangeline says, looking worried, I grasp a glance from Simon and he looks upset "well...I'm not hungry and that's finally" I say with a bit of harsh tone in my voice. I soon regret it and outside "ASHLEY?!" I hear Simon shout but I walk out

~Simon's POV~

She walked out, is she okay? "Here we go again" Tora says "what do you mean?" Sebastian asks with confusion in his tone and expression "she hasn't been eating, sleeping nor being herself since Britney came here" Lily puts in "it isn't my fault" Britney says defensively and angrily "that is true..." Eric says, now that I think about it, she hasn't smiled, laughed, gone outside, eaten, slept nor anything she used to do since Britney came here "poor girl, she's been through so much" Evangeline says "yeah, like she had an abusive father and mother, got raped, abused, a toy and a nothing" Britney says, anger builds up in me, I'm still in love with Ashley and no one can take those feelings away "she's just a brat wanting attention" she continues

I snap... "HOW ON EARTH WOULD YOU KNOW?!" I shout whilst standing up, they give me confused looks "YOU KNOW NOTHING, SHE'S BEEN THROUGH HELL TWICE, I WANT YOU OUT OF HERE BY TOMORROW, NO ON SPEAKS ABOUT HER LIKE THAT!!" I said and ran out the front door. I knew where she was, she used to go there everyday, she would and I'll follow her and yet, nothing has changed "ASHLEY?!" I shout and as a reply...sobbing...fuck...I run towards the sobbing and see a girl shaped figure sitting with head on knees, crying her eyes out "Ashley?!" I say panicking and ran up to her, she looks up and she stands up "Simon, what are you doing-" I didn't allow her to continue

I pushed her into the tree and kissed her, without hesitation she kissed back, I pulled away and put my hand on her cheek "I've been wanting to do that for so long" I said with a smile across my face "what about Britney?" She asks looking a bit concerned "why would I care?" I ask and she smiled, a real smile...I leaned in and so did she but she stopped "I love you Simon" she whispered and I was shocked but before I could even say anything, she kissed me, I kissed back and we pulled away "I love you too, Ashley" I said and I kissed her again

I begged to enter and she allowed me, I explored her mouth and I didn't want to stop, I never wanted it to stop and I didn't, I deepened the kiss. We kept pulling away for air but it didn't last more then 4 seconds and in those 4 seconds I missed her lips...

~2 weeks later~

Britney left, I'm dating the girl of my dreams and nothing can make me happier but sharing a family with her "Ashley?" I asked and she faced me "are you...are you thinking about kids?" I asked and her expression turned to shock "it doesn't matter" I said washing the dishes, I felt something behind me and I knew it was Ashley, she kissed my neck. I tried not to react but it was hard

~Months later~

We've got two kids and we are now married, I don't know if I could be any happier, she makes my world light up like the sun. I remember the day we met, she was the most annoying but beautiful girl I've ever seen, I learnt about her past less the two weeks time, she faced her parents and her behaviour changed, and yet she still makes me have butterflies in my stomach "hey sweetie" she says coming out of the corner, I turn around and smile at the sight of her "damn, I really don't deserve you" I said smiling "and I don't deserve an amazing husband like you" she says

"Can you marry me again?"
