Chapter 6

I got ready for bed before anyone else got there, I heard footsteps and everyone looked at me
"What are you doing Ash?" Simon asked me
"Going to bed, like I was told" I replied to him "your listening to a nanny now?" He had anger in he's tone "Ash-" I interrupted him "no Simon don't 'Ash' me I'm going to bed and that's that, oh and stop calling me Ash, it's really annoying coming from a brat with a disgusting face and attitude, goodnight" I turned off the light and made the room dark and went to bed, a few tears dropped from my face but I was happy I said it
"What was that all about?" Tora whispered "I don't know" Simon answered the light turned on and I closed my eyes, I felt something touch my cheek and I knew it was Simon so I wiped it off and turned over

"Does she hate you or something?" Lily asked him "I think so, but why, I mean Ash isn't that harsh...is she?"
"I don't know Simon, you always take her away from everyone" Chrissy said "so what?" Ugh the nerve of this boy
"Doesn't matter" everyone was getting dressed and ready for bed, I woke up "Oh would you please take your time?" I said sarcastically "oh your awa-" I interrupted Simon "Yes I am and don't call me Ash until I say so" I heard footsteps and turned my head to see Nanny McPhee walking in "evening Nanny McPhee" I said politely to her "evening" she replied to me with a small smile "you must feel disappointed Nanny McPhee" (sorry guys I forgot some words to this so please be warned) "how so?" She asked Simon, I knew where this was going

"we know your name but you don't know ours" he said and everyone started giggling and trying not to laugh "pleasure to make your acquaintance I'm Oglinton Fartworthy" he held out he's hand and everyone started laughing but me "pleasure" she shook he's hand and walked away "that's F-A-R-T, Fartworthy" I didn't laugh nor giggle nor smile, it was disgusting how they were treating Nanny McPhee, I though shes was amazing so far, a few seconds later she faced me and everyone looked at me, I could tell from their eyes they wanted me to say something funny but I didn't I held my hand out "pleasure to meet you Nanny McPhee my name is Ashley Whitemen But please do call me Ash" she shook my hand "the pleasure is all mine" she replied and turned to Simon who look angry and I looked around the room and so were they

When the lights went out everyone started to whisper "what was that Ashley?" Eric asked me "it's none of your nosy little business, so I would stay out of it if I was you Eric Brown" I said in a little anger tone "so she's calling you Ash now?" Simon asked me "like I said it's none of your little nosy-" I was interrupted "IT IS SO STOP ACTING SO INNOCENT AND KIND, IT GETS ON MY NERVES, I HATE YOU!!!" He shouted, I was so glad he couldn't see me because I was crying, I got up and walked over to him "Ashley I'm so s-" I interrupted him and slapped him hard "I hate you Simon Brown...you don't know what it feels like, pain and abuse, MY MOTHER AND FATHER ABUSED ME BECAUSE I DIDN'T DO WHAT I WAS TOLD SIMON, SO I HOPE YOUR PROUD OF YOURSELF AND SAME GOES FOR ALL OF YOU TOO!!!" I screamed at them "I'M LEAVING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND I'LL GO TO A DIFFERENT FAMILY, A FAMILY THAT WILL RESPECT ME AND NOT SOME FAMILY WHO HAS AN ANNOYING BRAT IN THEIR FAMILY!!" I never ever shouted at someone before "you said you weren't going to hurt me Simon, but you just did" I walked out of the room and ran to Evangeline
"Oh Ashley, why are you up" she saw me crying and I ran off

~Simon.POV~
She slapped me...I hurt her...What was I thinking...she hates me...I'm an idiot...I promised her...and...I broke it...she's leaving tomorrow...UGH, I'm an idiot, I shouldn't have shouted at her, she was abused because she wasn't doing what she was told...she could've told me...but I should've known better...she's my best friend...and I blew my chance....NO, I going to make it up to her even if it takes forever, I don't take as long as I see her

~Ashley.POV~
Why did I slap him?
Who am I?
Does he really hate me?
Do they want me?
"Ashley?" I know that voice so I turned in tears to see Simon standing there, I didn't think at all, I just ran to him and hugged him tight and he hugged me back "I'm so sorry Ashley" he said "no, I'm sorry, I'm an idi-" I was about to say idiot but he stopped me "no, no your not, your right, your always right, I'm sorry, I didn't know your parents abused you...I hate myself for shouting at you, I promised you that I wouldn't hurt anyway possible but I was so jealous that she gets to call you Ash...my nickname for you and I didn't have the right to say it...I lost my anger and fell out with the only person I care about other then my family, you, trust me when I say this, your just to amazing to be my friend and that's a fact" I pulled away from the hug "Simon, your to amazing to be my friend, but that's not what I want to be" I said to him "What then?" He asked me
"I want to be best friends, I hate the word just friends, it hurts me so much" I smiled at him "anything for you" he said "anything?"
"Anything"
"Well...I want you sing me a song" I said to him giggling
"UGH, Why!?" He said moaning "Fine no Ash then" I was about to walk away but I felt a warm hand on mine and it pulled me in "that Ash is mine and mine only"
"Then sing me a song" He nodded
And he started to sing
