Entry One
My name is Lilly Marina and I want to tell you my story. For those of you who know me you're probably wondering what story could I possibly have, unless it's a juicy sex story. Well sorry to disappoint. This isn't a happy ending story. At least not yet. I want to leave a legacy behind, to teach people not to judge people by their cover.
This probably sounds like a suicide note huh? Well it's not, don't worry. At least it's not starting out as one.
So why don't I start with my life now, to let you know why I'm writing this. I'm, I guess you could say, the Queen Bee at Cedar Brook High. I know I'm popular, but I try not to let that rule my life.
I'm not gonna lie, it's nice having guys drool over you, having other girls be jealous or wishing to be your friend, but I'm never mean about it. At least I try my best not to be.
So I have two best friends at Cedar Brook. They really are my friends and love me for me, or the parts of me they know. They're not friends with me just because of my family's money or my popularity, although I know they're not complaining about either of those. Madison and Abigal. I don't know what I'd do without them.
Now we also have lots of 'followers' I guess you could call them. They sit at lunch with us and join us at the mall. They gossip with us and find out those juicy details, but they don't know everything about me. Yet they listen to everything I say ironically.
Chris and Nicholas are Madison and Abigal's boyfriends. They spend a lot of time with us. There's also Lucy, Natalie, Austin, Marie, David, Sandy, and Trent. I don't talk with them much unless they're gossiping about something I find halfway interesting. I'm not a fan of gossip because I know what it can do to people. I try to make them keep it to a minimum and they usually do.
So before I move on to the more serious stuff I want to tell you "A Day in the Life of Lilly Marina". Well one of my good days.
So I wake up at 5:30 every morning for school. I sit up and stretch and slip my feet into my fuzzy slippers sitting by my bed. I make my way downstairs and grab a granola bar out of the cabinet and a glass of milk and watch the weather for a few minutes while I eat. I know the weather right? Well I want to know what I'll be comfortable in that day at school.
I rinse my cup and put it back in the cabinet before making my way back upstairs. I pick out what I'm going to wear, for instance today I wore a simple white crotchet peasant dress from Forever 21 and paired it with some brown moccasins. I do my hair and makeup which takes forever and I'm not going into the specifics of it because that would bore even me.
After I get ready I drive over and pick up Madison and Abigal before heading to school. We meet the rest of our crew at the best picnic table out front of the school. It's not totally rotted and it's in the shade of a tree. We totally love it.
Once the bell rings we make our way to class. I feel so many eyes on me, on us. But I keep walking. I know where they guys' eyes are and that girls are jealous. I'm not mean about it so I don't let it bother me.
