Late

I quietly open the door of the classroom and shut it the same way. Seeing as I successfully made it in, I quietly make my way to my chair next to Thomas Jefferson.

But SOMEONE, *cough* Charles Lee *cough*, had to be teacher's pet, and call me out.

"Oh, look Professor. (Y/n)'s here." He says, smirking at me. I scowl at him and look up and 'King' George.

"Oh. Ms.Hamilton. You're late." He says, unpleased.

"I know, sir. And I am-" He cuts me off.

"Whatever, whatever. Just sit." He says, turning back to the board. I roll my eyes and sit next to Thomas.

"You good? You're usually never late. What happened?" Thomas whispers. I pull out my text books and sigh.

"My brother. My brother happened." I whisper back, doodling in my notebook.

^^^^After Class^^^^

I walk out of the classroom and head for the park, seeing I have extra time between classes.

I hear footsteps behind me, but know it's just Thomas because he always follows me to the park after class. I walk towards the big oak tree and sit under it.

Thomas sits next to me and lays his head on my shoulder. Any time he would do this his hair would get in my face so I learned to live with it. I blow his hair away and he chuckles.

"I love you, (Y/n). You really are the best person alive." He says, smiling up at me. I look down at him and smile back. He tries to lean up but, I look up before he can.

"I love you too, Thomas. Thank you." I say. I look at my phone to check the time and realize that it's time for my next class.

"What's wrong?" Thomas asks, sitting up.

"I gotta go." I say. He frowns as I stand up.

He grabs my wrist and gives me puppy dog eyes. He knows I can't resist them. I look at my schedule and see it's a class that wouldn't count against my grades.

"Hmmmmm. Oh, fine. I'll stay. But only this once, Okay?" I ask, sitting back down.

"Yay." He says, smiling triumphantly.

Alexander never approved of my friendship with Thomas. Alex was always trying to keep me away from him. Thomas may be a little perverse, but it's all in good fun.

I sigh, knowing I was going to get yelled at by Alex for skipping class. Alex says 'You need to stop being like that Jefferson dude. He's a bad influence'.

"You okay?" Thomas asks, snapping me out of my trance.

"I guess. It's just...Alex doesn't really like you. He gets out of class in, I don't know, 5 minuets. If he sees me out here, and not in class, he'll get pissed." I say, shrugging.

Thomas pulls me into a hug. I wrap my arms around him and hug him back.

"(Y/N) (M/N) HAMILTON! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?" Someone yells. I let go of Thomas and look to see an angry Alex.

"Hanging out with my friend." I say, standing up. He stomps over to us and grabs my arm.

"Come on. We're leaving." He says, trying to pull me along with him. I rip my arm away from his grasp.

"No. You should be happy that I have friends, not trying to keep me away from them." I say, standing my ground. He huffs.

"Well, You can make new friends. You are leaving. Now." He says, grabbing my arm but, this time harder. I try to take my hand way again but fail.

I look back at Thomas to see him frowning at us. I mouth 'I'm sorry' to him and he nods. I smile at him and he smiles back.

Alex drags me to his car and lets go. He looks back at me and shakes his head.

"I cannot BELIEVE you are friends with Thomas Jefferson." He says, getting in the driver's seat. I hop in the passenger side and lean against the door.

"I cannot BELIEVE you don't trust me." I say, mocking his tone. He rolls his eyes and pulls out of the parking lot.

He takes me back to my apartment and I thank him for the ride. Of course, he doesn't say anything back but I still thanked him.

I walk up the stairs of the apartment building and unlock my door. I look up and see Eliza standing there with her arms crossed.

"And where were you?" She asks in a suggestive tone. I roll my eyes.

"My brother's house?" I question. She clicks her tongue.

"John Laurens lives with him." She says, smirking. I roll my eyes again, this time with a smirk.

"So? We're just friends." I say, swinging my bag onto the couch. I jump onto the couch and lay my head back, lookin up at Eliza.

"Just friends? How? He's hot. You're hot. How have you not been all over that by now?" She asks, making me turn crimson. She laughs.

"I-I-I don't know how to answer that." I stutter, making her laugh harder. I curl into the fetal position and cover my face with my knees.

"Come on, (Y/n). You know I'm joking. Kinda." She says, sitting down next to me. I glance up at her and make a pouty face.

"Aww. Is my wittle (N/n) mad?" She says in a baby voice. I smile and we both laugh.

"Maybe." I say, causing us both to laugh more. Our laughing simmers down and I pick up the TV remote.

I turn it on and get up to look through the DVD rack. My eyes scan through the rack a few times before picking a movie.

Moana

The best movie of the decade, to be honest. It has the best soundtrack EVER.

"Moana? Sounds good to me." Eliza says, agreeingly. (Is that a word?)

"I know. That why I picked it." I say, putting the disk in the DVD player. I make my way to the kitchen and raid our cabinets for popcorn.

Once I find the bag, I put it in the microwave. I pull the hot bag out of the microwave and put the contents into a bowl. I pick a few pieces out and pop them into my mouth (no pun intended).

"Oooo. Yum." Eliza says, taking a few of  pieces.

^^^^|After the Movie|^^^^

I hear a knock on the door and groan.

"Don't worry, Eliza, I got it." I whisper to myself, sarcastically. I stand up and walk to the door. I open it up to reveal a worried Alex.

"Uhh, Hey (Y/n). Umm, Professor Washington wanted to talk to us. I don't know why but, he does." He says, looking at me with worry in his eyes.

"Okay. Let's go then." I say, walking out of my apartment, closing the door behind me.

I follow Alex down to his car and get in the passenger side. Good lord, what does Washington want from us, now?
