College Nights

I sit next to the guys (Laf, John, Alex, and Herc) in the booth, waiting for the waitress to come back with our food. I'm sat between Alex and Herc. The two whiniest boys out of all of them.

"Why do restaurants take so long?" Hercules whines, laying his head on the table.

"Your whining doesn't make it better." Alex grumbles. I roll my eyes at the two bickering men and look across the table at Lafayette.

"You okay, cherie? You don't look good." He say, worriedly. I nod.

"I'm fine. I was just up all night studying with Eliza." I say, laying my head in my arms. Eliza is my dorm roommate and she had a few of the classes that I did.

"Oh, mon amie. You shouldn't do that to yourself. It's not healthy." He says, putting his hand over mine. I smile at him and grab his hand.

"I know. You tell me every time I stay up all night." I let go of his hand and sit up. I take a sip of my (F/d) and rub my eyes.

"(Y/n), you need to stop being like your brother so much." Herc laughs. I smile, groggily.

"I can't help myself! I'm a good person." I laugh.

"Your non-stop, (Y/n)." Alex says. I roll my eyes.

"Says the younger one." I say, smiling.

"One minute! One!" He rants. I look over at him.

"Bite me." I say. He scrunches his nose and bites the air. We laugh and go back to conversation.

The waitress walk to our table with our food and hands us our plates. She looks Alex up and Down and smiles. I give her a look and she stops. I know he's my brother, but that brother has a girlfriend.

"Here you guys go. Enjoy your meals." She says, smiling and walking away.

The guys start chuckling and I give them a look.

"What?" I ask, taking a bite of my (F/f).

"You. You are so protective of Alex." Herc says, eating one of his fries. I sigh.

"Well, someone has to keep him safe. And that waitress was checking him out." I say, sipping my drink. Alex raises his eyebrows.

"She was?" He asks, uncomfortably. I nod. "Well, thanks for the save." He chuckles.

"No problem. What are sisters for?" I say. We all laugh. I look at the time and see that it's 6:37

"Anyone have classes tomorrow morning?" I ask and everyone shakes their head.

"No, why?" John asks. I shrug.

"I have 'King' George at 8:30." I say, taking a bite of my food. He makes and 'O' shape with his mouth.

I take this opportunity to take one of his fries and shove it in his mouth. He chokes and spits it out. We all start laughing, except him.

"You jerk!" He complains. This makes us laugh harder.

"I'm Sorry!" I say, apologetically while still laughing. He picks up a crumb and flicks it at me and continues eating his fries.

I sit in the backseat of Alex's car, listening to the radio. I hear tune of my favorite song come on and I can't help but sing along.

When your legs don't work like they used to before. And I can't sweep you off of your feet. Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love? Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?
