Once we had gotten our food and we were almost done, Niall cleared his throat. "I do have something I wanted to talk to you about actually" He set down his fork. "I want to have a baby" he said. I felt my eyes widen. "But you don't want to" Niall looked disappointed. "No! I do, I was just shocked that you do" I smiled. "Should we go home and see what we get up to?" He smirked, doing a complete turn around on his mood. "Of course" I smiled.
A few weeks later I came to a shocking realization. "Niall?" I came into the kitchen. "Yeah?" He turned around. "I'm late" I said softly. "Have you taken a test?" He asked me, grabbing my hands. "No. I was going to go to the doctor for that but I was scared to go alone" I looked up at him. "Well let's go" He smiled. I called my doctor on the way to the office and was lucky that he had an appointment space open. As soon as we got to the office we were taken into the back room. "Hi. I'm Dr. Graybar" My doctor shook Niall's hand. "Nice to meet you" He nodded back. "So what seems to be the issue?" Dr. G asked. "I'm late and we have been trying to get pregnant" I told him. "Let's do a pregnancy test then" He smiled and handed me a small cup.
It took about 20 minutes to get the results. "I have news" Dr. G raised her eyebrow at me. "You are indeed pregnant. Congratulations" He smiles. I looked at Niall and smiled at him. "We're having a baby!" He exclaimed, grabbing my face in his hands and kissed me. "I know!" I smiled and hugged him. "Would you two like to see the an ultrasound? It's probably too early for a heartbeat but we can see how far along you are" Dr. G suggested. "Yes!" I jumped at the chance. As the doctor set up the ultrasound Niall let go of my hand and started to inform his manager that we would need to have a video conference with him. When Niall was done he re-grabbed my hand. "Sweetheart you're shaking" He looked at me concerned. "I'm just worried. That's all" I took a deep breath and smiled at him. "Are you ready?" Dr. G asked. "Yes" I nodded. "Roll up your shirt" She said. I did as I was instructed. "This is gonna be cold" He warned. I flinched as the cool gel touched my skin. As Dr. G pressed the wand to my skin a picture appeared on the screen. "There is your little one. They are quite small. About the size of pea. You seem to be between 6 and 7 weeks pregnant. You should start showing soon, along with other symptoms such as headaches, dizziness and nausea. Good luck" Dr. G smiled as she wiped off my belly. "Thank you so much" I said.
