We walk back with Emma in her arms and looks at the place she lit a fire, put up a tent, and got food.

I start with the fish over the fire she was setting up the inside of the tent and we are getting ready for the chill night and the bears. She has so much stuff with her a gun, clothing, compass, tent, sleeping bag, small bit of food for emergency, compass, first aid kit,and a book A Wrinkle In Time all in a small bag.
" I can help cook." Emma said looking at my sad progress
"Please." I say and watching her powers cook the food
"Your getting better with your powers you can control them, a little bit." I say trying to lighten the mood
"Yep, here's dinner." She said and gave me the fish it was hot but I managed
We just sat there eating hot fish and the sun going down with are small fire

"What about tomorrow? What do we need to do?" I said

"We first need to see if we're going to stay or go. I don't want to stay because if there was an army today they will bring back up so first thing tomorrow we go." She says

"Why did you go out into the woods and not to a shelter for kids like you." I ask
"Because my dad would find me, beat me, and -- other things." She finished quietly

"It's okay you did not know my mom, well she did not care for me and my dad was gone before my 10th birthday. My brother cared but he was gone to when the shooting happened."
"I so sorry " I say almost crying. She was so sweet and had a horrible life that she did not deserve. I was a spoiled brat that ran away from the government
