We had one sleeping bag so one of us stayed up with the gun and we switched every few hours. I stayed up first for a few hours and had to be outside with the gun and then we switched. Emma was a good watchdog.

Anyway at about 3:00 a.m we packed up and ran with the bag of survival. Emma was not positive were she was going and I was tired.

"Peggy, you okay?" Emma asked

"I don't know. I feel drained."

"Okay can you hold for me, one more hour, we need to get away Peggy." She said

I just nod my head. We walk silently, listening, and watching to make sure we don't get caught.

There was a small noise like someone running. We both looked at each other and ran. And ran. And ran. Fear and adrenaline making us run. The woods blurring past us and are eyes darting for anything to hlep. Everything was wet so we could not set anything on fire and no body's of water in sight.

I hear the people's footsteps rush behind us.
Adrenaline.
Fear.
Anxiety.

Then I tripped
And they got me.
