The bathroom at the palace was magnificent. There was so much room in the bathtub and Jin could have easily slipped in there with Pale. He wanted to so badly, but he knew he couldn't take advantage of someone so lost and fragile.

"Hi there, sweet Alice."
Jin groaned, opening his eyes. He squinted due to the harsh light and rubbed his eyes from all the gunk. "Who's Alice?" he asked, voice raspy.
"Why, Alice, that's you! What a silly boy."
"Huh?" Jin tried to fully open his eyes. He squinted up at the figure. His eyes finally widened in surprise. "Are you floating?!"
She grinned, half of her face disappearing and coming back. "My name is Sur Eun Pale, But you can call me Pale, or by my nickname Cheshire Cat. I also go by kitten," she added with a wink.
"Where am I?" he asked, looking around.
There were plants that seemed to be alive on their own. Wonderful and large butterflies that flew around, while fluttering their beautiful and magical wings. Even the air was different. It smelled fresher and cleaner. There were trails of sparkles in the air and it left Jin with a sweet and nauseating feeling.
"Sweet and attractive Alice, you're in Wonderland! Where all of your dreams come true!" she exclaimed. "Or where all of your nightmares come into view," she whispered, appearing next to his ear.
He jumped away from her, the hairs on his neck and arms suddenly rising like static.
"You don't have to be afraid of anything. As long as you follow our rules and don't get in the way of how things work here, then you won't be punished. Let me really drill it into your head again though. It'll be your happy place as long as you're not a curious Alice. We wouldn't want you to turn out like Alice #57, now would we?" Pale asked.
"Alice #57?" he numbly asked. "What happened to her?"
"Him," Pale corrected. "He had too much curiosity in his wonderful mind of his. A little curiosity is never a bad thing, but a large amount of it will always be the death of someone."
"What... What number am I?" Jin asked, staring up at Pale as her smile turned into a frown.
"I believe you're #60. We get new Alices every other week. It's such a thrill. You could call me the gatekeeper of sorts. I come here every other week to see who our new Alice is, but I regularly check up on the portal. Wonderland a big fan of male Alices, but we make do with female ones."
"What do you do?"
"Not me, but us," she corrected once again. "You'll find out in dear time. We must be on our way to see the Kings. We mustn't keep them waiting for long."
