The bathroom at the palace was magnificent. There was so much room in the bathtub and Jin could have easily slipped in there with Pale. He wanted to so badly, but he knew he couldn't take advantage of someone so lost and fragile.

"Pale, what are you doing?" he asked in a hushed whisper. He had to bend his head down to reach her ear.
"Bidding for the lovely Alice. After all, isn't this what Alices are for?" she asked.
The only Alice Pale ever bid on was Alice #49. He went by the name of Jeon Jungkook. He was an Alice that was loyal. Back then, Pale never had an interest in Alices. She was the one that helped lure them in and take them to the palace, but she never wanted one until Jungkook showed up.
Baekhyun couldn't see why Jungkook was special. He seemed like all of the other Alices. Human, bland, but was attractive. Baekhyun didn't mind admitting the fact that he seriously judged Pale for picking an Alice like Jungkook. There was nothing special or fun about him. Pale knew that Baekhyun didn't like Jungkook or her taste in Alices.
The two have known each other since childhood. Baekhyun always acted gentlemanly and cute in front of Pale, but she knew better than to trust the two-faced king. No matter what, the two would stay as friends. They knew facts about each other that only childhood friends could know and remember.
Baekhyun was jealous of Pale's eyebrows. He always compared their eyebrows to each other and he would constantly complain about his eyebrows. Pale was jealous of his power. She thought that being able to disappear was stupid and frightening due to her fear of not being needed.
"I'd like to bid on Kim Seokjin," Pale announced.
"Your reasoning?" Namjoon asked.
Pale sighed, lowering her fan to fold her hands on her lap. "From the time that I've known him, he has a wonderful voice. I'd like someone that could sing to me to sleep. He also likes walks in parks or anywhere, really. He likes pink too, which is rare for a guy. I think it's nice to have Jin as an Alice. We could cuddle too! He loves cuddling."
Baekhyun stared at her. "You're such a stalker," he whispered.
