Drowning inside

So I'm up to an official reader count of about four in three days.  I posted today a different chapter of different story on a competitive writing sight, 35 readers in a few hours.  I feel like this site might hide stories somewhat but potentially I'm still doing something wrong.

KF removed his re-breather. Queen Bee was out of sniffing range and this area had had good air pumped in until a short while ago. He should be okay for a bit.

"I tried to set off an emergency beacon but it's not working under all this rock," KF explained, ignoring Artemis in his worry for Robin.

"Good choice," encouraged Aqualad. "Miss Martian are you okay? How is Robin."

Miss Martian slumped down into a seated position. "That was some kind of psychic attack. I just got the backlash and I'm still reeling. That was a bad dog. A very bad dog. Where's Superboy?"

Miss Martian wasn't floating even though their cover had been blown. The link was down. Bad dog wondered Kaldur? Psimon must have done that to confuse them. The attack was Egyptian pyramid themed. Hopefully in a moment or two M'gann would pull herself together more.

"Come on Rob, wake up. Open your eyes buddy," KF took out Robin's flashlight giving the tunnel a quick check then shining the light on Robin. KF hated the domino mask sometimes. He wanted to check Rob's pupils. His pulse was weak and irregular. KF tapped him on the face again. "Come on Rob, wake up!"

"Was there a reason in particular that you indicated this tunnel Kid Flash?" Aqualad asked.

"What? Oh yeah, the main vent is off in that direction. I'm sure it's filled with sand but I figured we could work something out that would work a little better then open combat with all the baddies plus Superboy. I figure we have until they dig free from the tunnel collapse. They were talking about blowing this place up."

They found the vent. It was jammed with sand. Robin was laid off to the side in the recovery position with a glow stick beside him and a still stunned Miss Martian sat beside him. Aqualad used his water bearers to cut the sand free. Artemis and Kid Flash were moving sand away as fast as they could. Aqualad was having problems with evaporation. They'd expected desert so he'd come prepared with extra water for hydration but his water bearers needed a certain minimum amount of water and the environment was leeching it away quickly. Robin and Artemis had small water bottles along too. These were raided for use in the escape attempt.

Miss Martian pulled herself together a little. The link was still down but she shape-shifted to aid with the sand removal not long later.

Robin started to stir from deeply unconscious to semi-conscious. He kept rubbing his chest. His breathing would hitch and hiccup suddenly and there was periodic random jerking or just outright trembling. There was something seriously wrong with him.

"What's your name?" asked Kaldur looking over.

"Four..." muttered Robin.

Kaldur's eyebrows raised and he was distracted from digging for a moment. "How old are you?" he asked.

"...Motorcycle."

"Robin? How old is 13 year old Robin?" Kaldur asked stopping digging for a moment taking Robin's arm gently but firmly to help focus him.

"Four."

"Robin, what is your name?"

"Four!"

"Shhh, easy it's okay Robin," soothed Meagan gesturing for Kaldur to back off.

"Robin can you tell me your hero name?" tried Kid Flash.

"four?"

"Robin, what city do you live in?"
