It's not a Seizure!

He was nowhere, which meant he was either out of range or stuck in hyperspace. For twenty minutes the tracking device couldn't be found then Dick reappeared on the kitchen floor unconscious. The suit was registering forty minutes of oxygen remaining. It had saved his life.

It was hours later before Dick sleepily opened his eyes again. He was in the Batcave infirmary. Bruce was sitting beside his bed watching him. Dick wasn't wearing the suit anymore but he had about a hundred little electrodes taped into his hair.

"Chum that last trip burned off the Zeta energy and the suit seems to have insulated you enough to prevent you absorbing more. The monitor's haven't shown a single seizure since you got back."

That was Bruce's voice. Dick looked over managing a few tired blinks.

"The cookies are ready," Dick heard M'gann announce. The EEG peaked showing some really unusual brain activity. Bruce looked at it. It didn't look like a seizure but what was going on?

M'gann are you here? Dick wondered.

"Robin? When did you get to the mountain. Are the Zeta transporters back up and running?"

I'm in Gotham, thought Dick confused.  Thinking blearily of J'onn on the space station, M'gann in the mountain.

"Is something the matter chum?"

Dick blinked at him slowly his eyes half focused. What's going on, he thought?

"You are in Gotham?" questioned Martian Manhunter this time. "Your thoughts are clear as day."

Where are you? Wondered Dick.

"I'm on the space station." / "Happy Harbour."

Dick blinked again. I just woke up. At least I think I'm awake. Would one of you mind contacting Batman if this whole conversation is really happening.

"Still a little disoriented Dick?" questioned Bruce a little concerned looking back and forth between Dick and the EEG readouts which were going crazy.

"I'm not sure I'm really awake yet," muttered Dick.

Bruce's com-link buzzed. "Batman here."

"I know what happened to Robin! There hasn't been a human like him since the seventies. Maybe now there will be others, just a moment I need to speak with M'gann again"

"J'onn?" called Bruce confused.

"I did talk to J'onn and M'gann just then," whispered Dick astonished.

"He's broken out! The Zeta-beams are fine. I'm putting them back online as we speak," J'onn exclaimed.

"J'onn!?"

"They were in Egypt. The pyramid wasn't Egyptian. It was one of the extra-terrestrial ones with devices that suppresses certain types of evolution. I'm not talking about Metahumans and all of the instability that goes with them. I'm talking about proper evolution. He was right there. He's the right age, just hitting puberty. If I'd guessed, we could have avoided all of this worry. Can you unlock your Zeta for me. There is something I need to bring Robin."

"What?" Batman asked. The Martian was babbling excitedly.

"It may take me a little while to find it. I'll just be a moment."

Dick started sitting up. Bruce took his elbow to be sure he was steady.

"How are you even following the conversation?" Bruce asked Dick because Dick certainly seemed to be following things. It was an earbud com-link.
