I knew I wasn't going to go back to sleep, so I unfurled my wings and left through the window. The cold wind bit into my skin, waking me up instantly. I pulled my hood over my head to keep out some of the chill. Though I didn't mind the cold all that much, I enjoyed the feeling of the bits of snow that floated in the icy air touch my skin. I flew aimlessly, deciding to begin using my power. I first visited a town in canada, gliding through and randomly sending my sparks to people. I loved the look on their faces when the sparks hit them and their imaginations bloomed like a new spring flower. I sang softly as I flew, as I gave people ideas with a wave of my hand.
"If you'll be my star, I'll be your sky. You can hide underneith me and come out at night." I landed on to a roof, sending my sparks into the wind, "When I turn jet black and you show off your light,I live to let you shine," I sang, glad no one could hear me, "I live to let you shine." I paused, "But you can skyrocket away, from me...And never come back if you find another galaxy...far from here, with more room to fly," I took to the skies once more, still singing quietly, "Just leave me your stardust to rember you by." The air slowly got warmer as I entered the United states. I let my sparks fall from my fingers, as I flew under the stars, "If you be my boat, I'll be your sea, a depth of pure blue just to probe curiosity; ebbing and flowing, and pushed by a breeze." my voice floated through the night air, I didn't care if I was good or not, no one was around, "I live to make you free, I live to make you free. But, but you can set sail to the west of you want to, and past the horizon, till I can't even see you; far from here, were the beaches are wide. Just leave me your wake to remember you by."
"You have a nice voice, Kat." A familliar voice said behind me. I stopped, turning around. Jack was there, looking at me with a small smil on his face. I blushed furiously, my mouth open slightly.
"You-...You were following me?" I said with emarrassment.
Jack shrugged, "I was coming back from Tooth's place and I heard you singing," he explained, he started to laugh, "aaaw! You're blushing!" he teased, flying over to me and poking my cheek.
I flew away from him a little, covering my face, "Shut up!" I whined.
"Okay, I'm sorry." He said, looking at me with puppy eyes.
I groaned, "I guess I'll forgive you." I said, crossing my arms.
He smiled, "Good, comon' let's go have some fun." he smirked, the wind carrying him away.
I went after him, beating my wings hard to catch up.
He led me to a random town, I wondered what he was up to. He landed onto the snowy ground, looking up at me mischeiviously. I landed nex to him, making my wings disappear, "What are you planning, Jack?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
Before I could react, he formed a snowball in his hand and threw it at me. It hit me in the face. I felt the icy cold snow slid off of my face, "Oooh! You're going to pay for that!" I shouted, scooping up snow and packing it into a ball. He stuck his tongue out at me like a little kid. I threw it, it hit him on the shoulder.
"You dare challenge Jack Frost to a snowball fight?" He said with mock rage, forming another snowball out of thin air.
I screamed, scooping up one snowball in each hand and aiming. He threw the one in his hand and hit me, the snow slipped down my shirt. I sqeaked with surprise, "Cold! Cold, cold cooold!" I cried, shaking the snow out. Jack laughed hysterically, holding his stomach.
I huffed, throwing more snow. It hit him in the face. I laughed, pointing at him, "Hah! How does that feel?" I stuck my tongue out at him this time.
He chuckled, wiping the snow from his face, "Fine, you win." he said dramatically, putting the back of his hand to his forehead for effect.
I smiled at him, "Thank you, Jack." I said out of the blue.
He looked confused, "For what?"
"Caring about me."
