I faced off all four of the guardians, sword in hand. My eyes flicked to each of them, calculating who to attack first. Sandy created yellow whips out of thin air and swung them towards me. I did a backflip to avoid them, snagging one whip with my hand. As soon as I landed, I yanked at the golden whip, causing Sandy to tumble foreward. I heard movement behind me, I using Bunny's method. I ducked under North's katana at the last moment, hooking his legs out from under him with my legs. I had to use my sword by jamming it into the ground to help me knock him down. Bunny threw a boomerang at me, but I whipped my sword into the air, the blade sinking into it and keeping it from moving any further. Tooth flew over to me and locked her hand onto the hood of my sweatshirt, hoising me into the air. I sprouted my wings and flew up higher that her. I thrashed to one side, bucking her away from me. She continued to flutter her bug-like wings so she didn't hit the ground.

I landed on the ground, panting hard. I gave the guardians a quick smile, wiping the sweat from my forehead.

"You're doing great, Kat!" Tooth chirped, flittering around me with excitment.

        "Thanks...Tooth..." I gasped.

"We will be able to attack Terror very soon, indeed." North agreed, slipping his kantanas back into their holsiters.

I jumped around, despite my hardly healed wounds. I ignored the stinging pain that bit me when I moved to fast, "When will we be able to attack?!" I squeaked,

North throught for a few moments, "In couple more days, we must prepare all of weapons and army." he answered.

I raised an eyebrow, "Army? What army?"

North let out a triumpant laugh, holding his stomach, "This army," he gestured to all of his yetis, who stood behind him in a big crowd. I can't believe I didn''t notice them before...

"As well as my fairies!" Tooth held her head high with pride.

"Am army? Who needs an army?" Bunny snorted, "I'm a one-man army." he boasted, flipping out two boomerangs and posing.

I giggled, "We are sure to win, Terror doesn't know what's coming." my eyes went dark with the thirst for revenge.

We parted after this, going to prepare ourselves for the umcoming battle. I wished we could go now, I longed to slice up some of Terror's monsters. But most of all, I longed to see Jack again. I didn't know how much I would miss him until he was gone. I didn't want to show it because I felt like it made it look like Terror's plan was working; to wear me down by taking him away.

~Terror's lair, Jack's P.O.V.~

Every time I woke up from what seemed like a constant nightmare, Terror plunged me back into darkness. Using pain to make me pass out or just using his nightmare sand, it varied. I awoke, dreading what would make be go back to sleep.

"Good morning, sleepy head!" he waved at me, a crazy grin dancing across his lips.

I cringed, awaitintg my next nightmare or session of agony, but it never happened. I looked him up and down.

"Don't worry, I won't be putting you back to sleep quite yet." Terror purred, his hands folded neatly behind his back.

I let out a relieved sigh, slumping foreward, as much as the chains would allow.

"You see, your guardians are coming soon, very soon," he began.

My head snapped up, eyes wide. They were coming to my aid? I wasn't sure whether to be estatic or afriad. I didn't want Kat any where near here, but I desperatley wanted to get out of here at the same time.

"But-" he wagged his finger at me, telling me not to get too excited yet, "don't be expecting them to come and save you, they won't last longer than 10 minutes against my army. Victory is so close, I can taste it!" He bragged, cackling.

I realized he had nothing to tell me, really, he just wanted to rub it in my face that all of my friends could die very soon. I felt such a strong hatred I felt like the emotion itself could spring from me and pounce on him right now. If only...

"Now," he pulled out a hot poker from the darkness, its tip glowing in the shadowy room, "Let us begin,"

I gasped, yanking at the metal chains that held me. He held the poker closer to me, the heat radiating off of it causing me to groan with pain. If you hadn't guessed, me and heat don't really mix.

He pressed the firey bit of metal to my leg. It singed through my pant leg, burning my skin. I screamed, struggling as hard as I could. I saw dark spots in my vision, then I let unconsiousness melt over me and take me away.
