Harry's POV
*ping*
The default sound that comes from my phone buried deep in my pocket is enough to send a serge of electricity through my body.
It's her.
I quickly stuff my hand into my cluttered pocket to pull out my phone. My heart begins to race with anticipation for what it might say. My mind wonders to a billon different messages that could be displayed on my screen while my thumb hovers over the button that will bring it to life. I take a moment, and a calming breath reassuring myself that it won't be anything like I'm imagining, just simply a hello. With one final calming breath, I let my thumb press the button, and the screen lights up, showing the text.
My head becomes light, and I can't tell if I'm so hot my body is going numb or I'm cooling down. But I couldn't be happier. Then I can't keep myself from reading it over and over just to make sure I'm not missing anything. To make sure I'm not reading into it, and that what she typed goes beyond just the white letters on my screen.
(1:32 p.m.)
"Hello Harry, this is Ellie. I'm extremely looking forward to making your acquaintance later today. I can't wait to introduce you to an American holiday! Can't wait to see you!"I can image her saying the words. I bet her mouth is beautiful when she speaks. With all the times I've heard her voice over the phone, and all the pictures of her, I can piece together an image of her in-front of me. How I wish she was already here!
"...Can't wait to see you!"
I can't get it out of my brain! I keep thinking it means more then it probably does. I mean, I'm her older brothers best friend. She probably doesn't think of me as anything more.
But I hope she does. I know I do.
"Harry! Mate, I'm thinking we should leave here no later than nine, so that we can be there by eleven to meet her." Louis stuns me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, yeah no that sounds good!" I stutter back out, trying to regain the image I had of her in my mind.
I really can't wait till she's here in person!
The next few hours are filled with me trying to keep my cool while I run around with Louis putting the finishing touches together for Ellie's arrival.
I honestly can't tell who's more nervous and excited for her to be here. On the one hand, Louis is her brother, that she technically didn't even know she had. But on the the other hand, I'm so badly crushing on her, and I just can't wait to be able to look at her and hear her talk, and hug her.
That's another thing I'm super excited for. Multiple times she's told us on the phone that she's a big believer in hugs. Which, of course, both of us are totally down for, both obviously for different reasons. Brother love, and a huge crush kind of love. But whatever, neither one of us can stand the wait and it shows.
My phone pings again in my pocket, and my mind begins to swirl, and I've suddenly become extremely aware of my breathing pattern as it begins to accelerate to accommodate my racing heart.
