A Needed Talk

Yoongi slept on it, and for another night he slept well. His dreams of Hoseok were interesting to say the least, but they did seem to help. He knew once he woke up what his answer was, but he told Hoseok a couple days, so he would wait a couple of days. He couldn't tell if it was a bad idea or a good idea to wait, but it was the weekend, so he deserved to relax a little without having to think about it. Just him...and what was he going to do? He never did anything unless Jungkook invited him somewhere. Which didn't happen very often, only sometimes. He clearly didn't have a plan for today...so would it be bad to text, or call Hoseok? But he said a couple of days, and it's only been one...

"Gha! Jungkook would just tell me to call him cause he obviously wants us to get together...maybe...maybe I should text Namjoon."

Yoongi debated weather or not to text Namjoon. Their relationship was...broken. After everything they had been through together, they drifted apart after an incident. Yoongi didn't want to think about it right now.

"Texting him now of all times would be rude wouldn't it? Just texting him when I have a problem that I want him to solve. But that's what I usually did before...but it's different now. Is that still okay?" Yoongi was struggling.

He was typing and deleting, typing and deleting. He couldn't find the right words. The right way to sound causal, but not too casual since it had been...6 months since they had last met. Longer since they last texted. Yoongi continued this pattern of typing and deleting, until he saw that it said "Joonie is typing". Yoongi turned his phone off and set it down. His heart started to race, as he questioned why Namjoon was texting him...as to why any of it was happening.

"What the fuck...no, why the fuck is he texting me?" Yoongi couldn't help but continue to be nervous.

"I can see that you're trying to text me, so please, just say what you need to say. I'm still sorry, but I won't put the blame on you. Like I've always said."

Yoongi read the text, and was strangely happy about it. It felt normal, a start, maybe mending to the damage they had done to one another.

"How busy are you currently? I know this is sudden, and not the best way to do this, but I don't want to call. So can we meet up today if possible, and if not then tomorrow? I need to talk."

"I'm glad you're still asking me for help. I don't think I have anything tomorrow, if that works for you. Still at the flower shop?"

"Still at the flower shop."

"I'll see you tomorrow Yoongi. Thank you for remembering me."

"I never forgot about you."

"Sure seemed like it. We'll talk tomorrow and I'm sure we'll fix at least some of it...I'm still sorry."

"I'll see you tomorrow."

He closed the app after sending the last text, his heart pounding...still upset at what had happened between them, but not enough to make him not miss him. He truly did miss having his closest friend with him, laughing with him, simply being together. But...the problem only happened when...Yoongi didn't want to think about it. He'd have to talk about it tomorrow obviously, but now? He didn't have to. So Yoongi did what anyone else would do when they didn't know what to do. He went to sleep. A nap, or more, he didn't care. He felt slightly drained, even though he had already slept for most of the day.

And another promise was broken. As Yoongi slept, he didn't eat the meal he promised he'd eat for Jungkook.

Yoongi woke up at his alarm, and rolled around for a while before getting up. He left the clothes on the floor, and went to the bathroom to water his plants. He pet some of their leaves, then went to get redressed, since he slept in his clothes from yesterday. He looked around his house and realized...he liked Hoseok's home better...the lighting, and warmer feeling. He shook his head, trying to get his mind of Hoseok. But still, his sunshine smile had really been stuck in his mind once he saw it. It was so pure, warm, and welcoming. He got his jacket, put on his shoes, and headed out.
