Chapter Thirty Two

Kaybee called D the usual time he usually call them to ask how their day was and from the sound of her voice he sensed that something is wrong but did not point it out to her, Khadijah felt so angry she wanted to lash out at him but when he asked of her daughters first before his own even though she has informed him that Afreen has arrived made her resolve waiver and her heart melt into liquid.

After the kids have exchanged pleasantries with their Sweet father ,D suggested that they should go and watch an animation so that she will have the much needed privacy to talk to her husband about Nihal .

" Angel you won't believe what happened today " Kaybee gushed out .

" Yeah I won't, what of what happened yesterday ? Are you ever going to tell me ?" She asked .

" What do you mean dear ? What happened yesterday that I know of and didn't share with you ?"

Nihal happened !!!

She wanted to scream at him but kept mute, trying to calm her rapidly beating heart, she have no idea why she is all riled up about the matter, but she has the right to know now that she is the mother of Afreen.

" Something in line of what happened to Afreen in the mall " she replied with a clipped tone and Kaybee let out a nervous chuckle .

" Yahsalam, I am so sorry angel, it totally escaped my mind, I was so busy yesterday when mommy told me about the encounter,but in shaa Allah such will never happen again " he sincerely apologized and D has no other choice than to forgive him and tell him about Afreen's outburst earlier when she arrived .

" I don't even know what she is still doing in Nigeria, the nerve of that witch, I don't even have her number but I will ask around and call her "

" You will do no such thing Ya Hayatee " D stressed every word .

" Yahsalam !! What do you think Angel ? I am not going to remarry her chill! Just going to warn her that's all " he laughed out loud , amused at how jealous D sounded .

" I've said my own Abba, the rest is left to you. How was your day ? I saw those pictures you sent on WhatsApp and you look so handsome mashaa Allah, I miss you " she changed the topic and they did their usual routine of telling each other about their day and talk about everything and nothing .

" Get some rest , may Allah be with you. Love you, miss you, maqalqale you " Kaybee said while D laughed .

" I wonder where you get this maqalqale you from, but guess what ? I love it , Bye ,love you more, Allah's protection always miss you to the square of infinity " she replied smiling ear to ear before they cut the call and she went out to attend to the kids .

The next day, they went to spend the day at Ummie's and  it was fun, Ummie pleaded that D should leave the kids to spend some days with her because she miss them and she obliged with enthusiasm saying that in just a day the trio had started giving her headache so they are welcomed to stay with Ummie for as long as they want to but she have to ask for Kaybee's permission .

" Assalamu alaikum Abban Afreen.  Sorry to disturb you "

" Wa'alaikissalam Mamien Afreen, your call will never be a disturbance love  " he replied with a contented sigh .

D told him about her decision to leave the kids with Ummie for a few days and he agreed before they finally bid each other goodbye .

" Ummie I will be going, want to branch at Zee's before finally heading home .Good luck with this naughty little brats " D said patting Afreen's head.

" They are my co -wives , don't mind her kids, say bye bye to Mamie " Ummie said in a duhh tone .

"Bye Mamie " the kids wave D off .
