I was scared, oh yes I was. Liz was one of my main priorities. I was fine, but what about Liz? I looked over to her and listened to see if hee heart was still beating. It was; thank goodness! My eyes stung with tears. I was trying to breathe as quietly as possible. Was the man there? As quietly as possible, I whispered to Liz, "Liz, wake up. Come on, please. We need to get out of here. Our parents and the school are probably worried!" Her eyes opened very slowly. "Hi, I'm here. Don't worry Beth, I think he's gone. Let's get out of here right away." We moved through the bushes, not making a sound. Then, there was a rumble in the ground.
