On The Run

After days of walking to escape I found some clothes so I could change out of my hospital robe.. Shortly after I saw a siren from the corner of my eye as the car stopped. The officer got out and called me. "Hey, ma'am. Are you alright?" He asked. I looked at him. My hair was still short but longer than when I was at the hospital. "Come on, lets get you off the road.." He signalled as I went with him. I wasn't afraid, I had Aiden and plus. This guy doesn't seem to know me as being wanted..

The officer attempted to talk to me but I just sat there, quiet. He walked to the window then behind me noticing my scar on my head. He went to touch it when Aiden threw a cup at the wall warning him more or less to not lay a hand on me. Soon Aiden starts muttering 'They're coming..'  I looked at Aiden. "I know they're coming.." I sighed as the officer left as we hear the SWAT team enter the building. I crouched in the corner of the room. "Aiden.. Stop them from getting me.." I almost begged. "Remember we warned them to stay away.. Or we'd kill them all.." I muttered as I heard Aiden muttering in agreement. The officer opened the door and Aiden shot out of the room and threw everything desks, chairs, lights. Everything at them. Killing almost all of them. A few of the SWAT team ran off. I got up and left the building. "Lets go Aiden.." I sighed as we walked away.

Nathans POV
I arrived at the station I was told Madeline was at.. But as I entered.. She wasn't there.. Everything was broken and everyone was dead but a single officer. The one who caught her to begin with.. "Madeline.. What have you done.." I muttered. She must've had Aiden do all of this.. She's so afraid they're here to hurt her.. I left the building shortly after.

Madeline's POV
After a lot of walking Aiden and I find ourselves lost in a desert. I use clothes in my bag to change into something behind a rock as it was so hot and I was hungry, thirsty and tired..
Aiden and Madeline;

Aiden started pestering me so I got a little anxious "Not now Aiden! I'm tired!" I whined as he groaned. Twice I tried hitching a ride but nobody stopped.. I sat on a rock as Aiden bugged me again. As I turn to him I notice a building. I got up and walked over to it. I knocked the door, a guy answers. "Hi.. I'm sorry to bother you.. I'm so tired and was wondering if I could stay the night.. I'll be gone by morning." I pleaded. "You can't stay here, I'm sorry." He goes to close the door but another man approaches. They began talking in another language. "You can stay." The man smiled as I stepped inside. I closed the door. "I'm Paul, those two are my sons. Jay and Corey." Jay was the one who answered the door, Corey was the other one with an old lady. "And that is my mother, Shimasani." He pointed. I sat down in the empty chair by Jay. I ate a little and then the dog under the table began to growl and whine. "Get to your room, Jay will show you." Paul tells me.

Jay leads me to my room. "No matter what you hear, stay in your room." He warns. "What I hear? What do you mean?" I asked. "If you value your life. Lock your door and stay in your room till morning." He walks away. I close my door slowly. I go over to my bag and change into a clean top and underwear and wash myself down. I lay down on my bed. "Goodnight Aiden.." I mutter. 'Goodnight' He muttered back. I fell asleep after tossing and turning. A nightmare pops into my head causing me to wake up almost screaming. I got up and began to wonder. "What has got them so spooked?.." Aiden told me they're all curled up afraid to sleep. I went to leave my room but the door was locked on the outside. "Aiden, open the door." As I requested he opened it. I walked to Paul's room. "Go back to your room" He begged. Curiosity got the better of me. I walked to the table. Patting the dog then walked to the front door. Unlocking it and opening it a figure stood there. I yelled and fell back. Jay ran over with Paul and Corey. Jay grabbed my arm pulling me up. "We told you to stay in your room!" Jay yelled. "What was that!?" I asked. "Just get to your room" Paul ordered after locking the door. I went to my room and after a lot of thinking.. Fell asleep..

The next morning I got up, threw on the same clothes from yesterday, packed away my other shirt and put my bag on, as I turned around that same figure stood behind me. I didn't scream but I did jump back, it soon vanished. Leaving my room Paul was at the dinner table "I made coffee" He told me, I gratefully accepted to drink a cup. I opened the door once I finished "I'll hit the road.. Goodbye" I told him. "You know, you could stay here longer. If you want to help out at the ranch. I can't pay much.. But you'll have a roof, food.." He offered. I smiled. "Of course" I accepted the offer. I mean, I have nowhere to go so.. "There are work clothes in Corey's room. Go choose something and meet me outside." He got up and walked out. I went to my room and used my own clothes and tied my hair into two ponytails.

I went outside and helped Paul by bringing water and hay to the sheep. I then joined Corey and Jay for lunch. I'll admit.. I asked a lot of questions so Jay got angry and asked me questions on purpose. He was being an ass but I shrugged it off, I was annoying him obviously. I heard Aiden give off an angry groan at Jay "Aiden, no." I whispered. "Don't worry about him.. He's a good guy when you get to know him." Corey reassured me. I nodded and walked over to him. He was attempting to tame a horse, a stallion. In other words a male. Jay jumped over the fence and looked at me "Proud and Stubborn that one. Never wants to go in with the others.." He chuckled. "May I try?" I asked. "Ever worked with horses before?" Jay asked. "No." I shrugged. He chuckled again "Well, if you think you can manage. Go ahead." He smiled. I jumped over and approached the Stallion. "His name's Ashkii" Jay told me. I nodded and held out a hand calmly. "Hey Ashkii.. No need to be afraid.." I reassured him as I slowly petted him. "Hey, Aiden. You always wanted to ride a horse right?" I smiled as Aiden possessed the horse and lured him into his enclosure. Jay smiled and started opening up to me. "Dinner time!" Paul called as Jay and I waved over "Alright! We'll be in soon!" Jay called. "There is a shower around the side of the house. Go on and use it first." Jay smiled as I nodded. I undressed and turned the shower on and after feeling presence behind me I turned and that same figure stood behind me. I felt my heart stop out of fear, I got dressed and went straight inside. We had dinner and settled down for the night..
