Ashtons POV

When I look in the mirror, most people would just see what I am. A short 5'6" kid with medium length black hair and hazel eyes. Today I'm wearing a grey Adidas sweatshirt and black joggers. I didn't feel like dressing nice, it's a Sunday after all and it's not like I go to church...

My mom was gone for the day to run some errands so I was home by myself. I decided to kick it back and relax. I turned my CD player on 1D's album 'four" and sat down on the couch.

I picked up my phone and saw I had a few notifications. It was a text that was automated saying my phone bill payment went through. And a snap from my best friend Joel I had a 100 day streak with. I started to smile knowing it must be a good one. Joel was so funny and charming, with his blonde hair styled in a hipster style but still cool, and his steel blue eyes. I opened it up and it was a selfie of him showing off his new tattoo. It was a anchor that said "Sail On' and I saw his skin was still red from getting it. He looked great. I replied to it with a "😍" and smiled knwoing he would laugh at my response.

I got a response right away: "lol ash 😂"

I smirked up my face knowing he had to be laughing his head off right now. It made me feel like such a good man doing things to make people happ. Which is saying a lot since I have issues with my self esteem. Joel... he makes me happy. Only a few things do. What else do, you ask? Well, a good food like cheetos or a hamburger... Good clothes like from Aeropostale... and of course, One Direction. My Life and soul. I felt my heart shatter into pieces when they announced they were taking a hiatus. I cried for hours and Joel was the only thing who keept me going. But I finally decided to be thankful for the five albums I had of their sweet music.

Even then, life wasn't the same withoit them. I was so lucky to have my friends in my life and my dog Romeo (german shepherd husky mix). Without them, the hole 1D left in my heart could never be full.

Just theni got a text from Joel. It said "Hey ash you up?"

I look at my clock and realize it's about noon. I smile and text him back

"yeah lol"

I can practically hear the smile in his text even though they are just words on a screen. "good, i have something important to tell you"
