Chapter 20: Moving Day

Ashton's POV

I woke up. I remembered what i had to do today... Had to help Joel move into his dorm. It would be fun, I thought with a smirk. I texted Joel like "hey when do you want me to come by"

"idk" he replied right away but I saw him still typing.

"u just woke me up -__- (lol jk)"

"u did wake me up tho....."

"sorry" I replied but I was kinds joking. "so when should i come over..." I text

"idk come by at 11 ig" he reply. I said okay and went to get some breakfast.

I got some Captain Crunch and poured a big bowl with some milk. I love Captain Crunch, it's like my favorite cereal. We're almostout though. I should buy more today.

Then I got ready and stuff and after I was done it was almost 11 so i went over. I pulled up to the college. It ws pretty big but smaller than the one I was gonna go to. It was super hectic today since it's moving in day. I went to the person and asked where the dorms were. I got directions and went there. Joel was standing in the hall. 'Hey ash' he said with his smile. I smiled back. I looked in the dorm. It was a 4-person so there were 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each and a big kitchen and living area. It was pretty cool. I saw a bunch of boxes in there. 'is that your stuff/" I asked Joel. "Yeah" he said.

I helped him unpack. He didn't bring that much stuff. I saw that the other bed was empty and there wasn't any stuff on the other side of the room. "Do you know who your roomate is?" I ask. "Nope" said Joel. "I'll find out tomorrow or later today I think." "cool" I said.

When we were done, the room looked great. Joel's bed had some sea green sheets and a blue blanket and we put up some posters of stuff he likes like One Direction on the walls. And we put up a string of lights right above his bed and a little shelf with a lamp. It looked nice and cozy.

"Do you have anywhere to be today?" Joel asked. "Nope" I said. "Well I should go to the store and get some food but that's it."

"Okay" said Joel. "Why don't you stay here?" He sat on the bed and I took a seat next to him.

We talked about college and our future. My school was only like 20 minutes away from his so we could still hang out. That was great. I would be so sad if I didn't get to see Joel anymore. I was going to get a degree for singing and acting and Joel wasn't sure what he was doing yet. But he was thinking about being a physical therapist.

After a while someone came in to the room. It was some guy who had like brown hair and eyes. And he had glasses and a red shirt. "Who are you?" I said. He looked at me weird. "uh... who are you? This is my dorm."

Joel looked at the guy. "Oh, you must be my roommate. I'm Joel. This is Ashton."

"okay" he said. "My name's Brandon." He looked at me again. "Are you in this room too?"

"No" I said. "I'm just here to help Joel move in."

"Well, it looks like he's already moved in" said Brandon. I shrugged. It was about time to leave anyway so I left. Time to go to the store.
