"Avengers! Assemble!" shouted Nick Fury. Fury had received an anonymous call minutes ago, stating that there was someone that SHIELD should attempt to recruit for the Avengers team. Still slightly shocked, Fury tried to remember exactly what the man had said.

"Hello Mr. Nick Fury. I am someone you would not like to anger; therefore, it would be wise for you to keep silent until I finish this message. I know of someone who would be a powerful addition to the Avengers team. His name is Perseus Jackson. It would be in your best interest to find, and recruit him. Do not bother trying to trace this call. Not even Tony Stark could trace this. I do not recommend trying to take Perseus by force. He can take down your entire SHIELD agency along with the Avengers in minutes. Goodbye, and good luck, Mr. Fury."

Thinking over that message, Fury made his way to the conference room, knowing that the team was already there. He walked in to see Thor, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Tony Stark, and Bruce Banner, all sitting with expectant looks on their faces.

"Fury! This better be good! I was developing a new suit! As you all know I'm a genius and a billionaire so-" Tony started.

"-Stark!" Fury barked, preventing Tony from saying more. "This is highly important! I have a new mission for you. You need to apprehend a boy named Perseus Jackson."

"What!" Steve nearly shouted, while holding his hand up in a 'time-out' motion. "A boy? How old is he? What are his skills?"

"Do not interrupt me Rogers." Fury said with a wolf glare that would make the Hulk cry for his mommy. Continuing on with a sigh, he said, "Perseus is 17-"

"Whoa! No! I am not going to attack an 17 year old boy! No way! We might hurt him!" Steve protested.

"I agree! This is not something that we do here! We are the Avengers, we take down serious threats, not children!" Bruce added.

Fury, seething at the numerous outbursts, said in a steely calm voice, "You will do as I say. This boy is a threat. You will apprehend him, and bring him here for questioning. No objections! Am I understood?"

A series of "Yes's" came around, only one did not answer.

"Hey, Thor, are you alright?" questioned Bruce Banner, worried because Thor didn't respond. Thor was always the first to say something with his booming voice, but he had been uncharacteristically quiet throughout the entire briefing. At Banner's question, Thor snapped his head up.

"Director Fury, did you-did you say, P-p-perseus J-j-jackson?" He asked with an excited, and hopeful look on his face. Fury then gave an exasperated sigh.

"Yes, Thor. I said Perseus Jackson." He replied, annoyed. Then Thor did something no one thought was possible, Thor squealed. The almighty Thor gave a high-pitched, fangirl squeal.

"Odin's beard! I get to meet the famous Perseus Jackson!" Thor boomed with excitement and joy. " I never imagined meeting the famous protector of Midgard!"

"Thor, buddy, were you drinking last night?" Tony questioned, bewildered. "This kid is no protector of Earth, and he's certainly not famous." But Thor didn't seem to hear Tony.

"The most powerful demigod to ever exist!" Thor gushed.

"Wait, demigod!? Is this guy Norse?" Natasha asked with dread in her voice.

"No, friends. This hero is the son of the Greek god Poseidon. He is the nephew of Zeus, the king of the gods and goddesses." Thor said, with awe clear as day.

Natasha, with a worried look on her face asked, "Is he dangerous?"

"Oh yes, the most dangerous person you will ever meet." Thor said, finally out of whatever daze he was previously incapacitated in. This statement received a round of worried looks from the rest of the team. "Do not worry! He is only dangerous to his enemies. His fatal flaw is loyalty. He would sacrifice the world to save a friend." The tension was quickly released from the Avengers faces.

"Alright then!" Tony said with faked excitement, "Let's go kidnap the most powerful demigod to ever exist!"

The team rolled their eyes, but hurriedly ran out the door and changed into their gear. After some debate, they decided not to take the helicarrier, and just walk. That way they would look less threatening. None of them wanted to scare the kid.

"Where would a 17 year old demigod teenager go?" Tony mused

"Where would a 17 year old demigod teenager go?" Tony mused. He quirked his eyebrows and continued with a grin, "I'm guessing somewhere where all the hot chicks are."

This statement received annoyed muttering and eye rolls from the rest of the team. "I believe that Perseus will be at the beach, friend Stark." Thor said.

"Why would you think that?" Clint questioned.

"Perseus is the son of the sea god, so he would probably be at the beach, or at least near some body of water." Thor stated.

"Hmm. Sounds good!" Tony agreed, already heading towards the nearest beach. A few minutes later Tony childishly whined, "Are we there yet?"

"For the millionth time, we're close you big baby." Natasha said, annoyed at the billionaire's antics. A few minutes later of walking in silence she said, "See look! The beach is right there."

As the team got closer to the beach, Clint said, "Whoa! You think that's him?" while tripping over his feet, earning a few chuckles from the team. "No really, look!" Clint said, slightly embarrassed.

"Sure birdbrain." Tony replied, smirking. "Um, where? Where is he?"

"This way," Steve said, having already spotted the suspect. He was pointing at a handsome boy with disheveled jet black hair, swept to the side, and a Mediterranean complexion. He was very fit and lean, a swimmer type of build. He was wearing blue swim trunks and a white swim shirt. He has a pearly white teeth that form an adorable troublemaker smile. And his eyes, when the team saw them they collectively gasped. They saw beautiful, sea green eyes, that seemed to sparkle with mischief.

"That must be Perseus!" Tony agreed, then let out a low whistle. "Wow, he's really good looking."

The rest of the team nodded in agreement. They slowly, and quietly, made their way over to the good-looking teen. Perseus oblivious to the people approaching, was crouched on his surfboard, shooing away fish that seemed, well, that seemed attracted to him.

"Alright," Natasha whispered. "We wait for him to come to shore, then Steve, you go talk to him.  If he doesn't talk to you, or if he gets violent, we'll come and help."

"Will do." Steve replied. As the team got closer, they hid behind some bushes, that way they could watch Perseus, without him seeing them.

"What do you think he's gonna do?" Natasha wondered out loud.
