And although
loving you was
holding the pen
for the first time
it took my hands
more than fifteen
thousands words
to finally write
about you.
you, whose eyes
had me beginning
the skies to turn to
a star and watch
over you.
for the moment
the skin of your
thumb brushed
against my cheek
like a cold breeze,
I surely knew that
YOU and ME were
never meant to be
written on the same
page.
so I go out every
night, looking for
your name just
to remember what
it felt to have
letters on the tips
of my fingers, but
I end up running
in circles with
nothing but the
whistles of the wind
to remind me that
our story got buried
before it was born.
I race the time to
beyond infinities
just to have a
glimpse of the boy
who has the poem
I could not bring
to life hung down
from his bottom
lip.
I watch the flames
devour every line
that once hugged
your body, aware
that no paper
could ever hold
what we had.Dedicated to the beautiful glass_shatters for being such a lovely person , and for writing beautiful poems that are always an inspiration.
