I sighed and stretched my arms into the air as my back arched against the swivel chair I had ever so graciously plonked myself into 5 minutes earlier and let out a yawn.

Despite what some people think I don't enjoy waking up early. It's a chore having to make sure I set my alarm everyday for half 4 in the morning, and I hate breakfast.

No excuses. I just HATE breakfast.

Now to a lot of people out there, this may come as a shock, but honestly I don't understand why people think I enjoy being up early. I only do it because I have to.

The shop opens at 5 and being the one who owns it, it wouldn't be able to open at all without the keys that I keep on my wall on my keyring to get into my shop.

After all, they're my keys.

I looked over to the computer on the desk and clicked the power button to power it up.

I unlocked the till and stood to walk towards the yard. I picked out the gate key and opened it wide to let in Mary and Garret.

"Hey Mary, till is unlocked for you, Garret..." I paused, thinking how to phrase this. "Do whatever it is I hire you for."

He grunted and walked off the the back of the yard where he grabbed a few rags and a bucket from the shed and headed over to the first store.

I clicked and gasped. "That's what I hire him for! Cleaning. Right, anyway." I turned and stalked over to the office.

"Mary, where are Louis and Louie?" I asked as she began to count money from the till.

"Louis is sick, that flu that's going around, and Louie stayed with him to look after him." She told me quietly.

"Aww, those two are so cute together. But call Louie and tell him that I give Louis my well wishes, but I still need him to fill out that paperwork as soon as possible." I told her. She nodded and sat in the swivel chair I had ever so kindly already warmed up for her.

I adjusted the sign on the front door to show Open instead of Closed, and then straightened up the "Cogs and Gears" sign outside the door that showed people who we were. I leant back in again.

"Mary, Janis and-" Mary cut my off and I raised an eyebrow.

"Both sick with the flu. Janis was meant to help in the yard today and Gina was meant to straighten out the bedrooms. Don't worry, I'll get the rooms done, and Garret can help out today." She finished for me. I smiled and patted the door.

"Thanks Mare! I'm going to go out and get out some of the permenant residents." I grinned and ran over to pull off the tarpaulin covering a white land rover and several bikes, which included two Harley's, and 3 normal pedal bikes.

I pushed the pedal bikes closer to the yard fence and smiled at the land rover with my hands on my hips. I ran over to the shed and grabbed my tool kit before heading over to my garage and pushing the door up as high as possible with my short body.

I ducked into the garage and put my tool kit down to grab a stool, on which I stood to push the garage door higher. I jumped down, knocked the stool out of the way with my foot and went over to the pedal bike in the middle of the floor.

This repair was pretty simple, a new chain and some cleaning down to rid some of the rust and then it was done. I gave the bike a once over and tried pulling the brakes.

Scratch that, it might need some new brake blocks too. I sighed. How hard is it for bike owners to look after them. Oil and clean them regularly, and if they break, bring them in straight away and don't leave it so long to break more.

I shook my head gently as I reached into my tool box for a wrench. Before long I was wiping sweat off my face with the back of my hand. I was on about my 5th bike today, this one was a motor, and had a fault in the alternator.

There was nothing much I could do until the owner ordered the new parts. I glanced up at the clock and sighed. I was already 15 minutes late.

I wiped my hands with a rag and pulled my overalls that had been tied round my waist down. I shut the tool box and as I ran past Garret talking to a customer I yelled across.

"Garret, gotta go,be back at 4 like always, look after any new additions to the hospital, take em in to the garage!" I slid into the office, nodded to Mary, grabbed my back pack and my keys, and ran out.

I reached my desired destination and ran in as fast as I could. I slipped into first period precisely 34 minutes late and sat at the back, the teacher not even noticing my absence.

I sighed silently and pulled out my notebook to start noting down the Spanish words we needed to learn for next lesson and stared out of the window of Riverdale High wistfully, wishing I could be at my yard all day.

Hey guys, Charlie Anne here, now this is not my story. This has been written by a friend of mine, and he asked if I could edit it and post it on my Wattpad for him, so I'll do that and also post messages from him here. I cannot take credit for the main story, only the editing! Hope you guys like it!

Hey guys! As you've probably noticed, this is my new Riverdale fanfic. Well this is also my first story. Thanks to Charlie for letting me use their account! Now, I will explain some unexplained things from this chapter later in the book, so hopefully that will appease you guys appetites for now!

I hope you guys enjoy this, as I enjoyed writing it and will enjoy it in the future too! Can you believe me and Charlie only got into Riverdale a week ago? (At least a week ago when I wrote this, it's been like months now!) We've already watched all of it and written part of a fanfiction!

Anyways, if you enjoyed don't forget to drop a vote, and please feel free to give me any constructive feedback in the comments! I welcome all feedback, except of course hate. Hate gets deleted, no matter who to. Well, that doesn't extend to Donald Trump but you know. I'm against him, and that's my views.

Also, calling a spanner a "wrench" is so freaking weird!
