Today, the Slytherin and Gryffindor boys were once again reunited during breakfast. With much hesitance, Harry had walked to the opposite side of the room, being watched by every Slytherin and Gryffindor. He knew he was going to get such a tongue lashing from Hermione. (there's gotta be a better phrase than that) He already had last night about the whole hanging out with Draco thing. Obviously Hermione caught onto my mood as soon as I heard the name. She knows who she diagnosed me with. It's only a matter of time before she explodes at me. But I made it, and I sat with Draco at the Slytherin table. He just looks so lonely over here all the time. Like there's a designated spot surrounding him allowing no other students to sit at least three feet next to him. He looked up at me astonished and leaned over the table, whispering.
"What are you doing here??" his voice didn't sound harsh or angry. It kind of sounded... Relieved? I smile at him and act like this was the most normal thing in the world.
"What? Can't I sit with my friend? Besides, Hermione and Ron always fight during breakfast. It's grown quite dull if you ask me." I noticed him laugh a bit, then his eyes grew wide while looking over my shoulder. I turned around, and none other than Headmistress was standing there.
"Boys, if you would be so kind as to follow me." She ushered us towards the door. We heard a few people in the room start 'Ooo'ing as we exited the great hall. Oooh boy. Was I in trouble just for sitting with the Slytherin's? There was never a rule against other houses sitting with each other. Everyone just abided to their own team. We followed her to her to her office and she told us to sit in the chairs while she was looking through some cubbies with scrolls on them.
"Headmistress, please! It wasn't Draco's fault. I went over to the Slytherin table on my own mind, he didn't ask me to. Don't blame him as well." I finally broke. Mirvana turned around and looked at me over her spectacles.
"If you think that's what this is about, mr Potter, I assure you that I have no intentions for punishing a student on something as petty. Surely you know me better, or are you that much of a knucklehead." She teased with a small smirk forming at her lips. Draco silently chuckled earning a nudge from Harry. The headmistress turned back to the shelves and pulled out a parchment, seemingly to have found whatever she was looking for. "Ah, yes." She read it over. "Last year, before the..." she paused. "Incident. Dumbledore asked me to do something." She opened the scroll reading it over. "Come along now." She hurried off, both of the boys following shortly behind her. They walked side by side, looking at each other with looks like 'did you do anything' or 'For fucks sake, we're not in trouble'. I'm sure you can guess which one is which. Suddenly, Mirvana stopped in front of a door. "Et surpens leo." She spoke boldly. The door opened to a dark tunnel passage. "Come along, after you" She stated. The boys looked at each other and then walked into the room with Mirvana walking behind them. The lights suddenly came on and the room showed itself. There was a living space with black furnishings, a fireplace, two staircases on either side in the far corner leading up to two doors with a 'HP' and "DM' carved into them. The boys looked around in awe. "Beautiful isn't it." Mistress says. "Dumbledore had assigned you two to live here for the remainder of the year. Together." She piped with a knowing smile on her face. Draco whipped around so fast to look at her, you could barely have time to react. He then looked at Harry, who was just as excited. "Your things are already in your rooms. I'll leave you to settle in." She turned on her heel and left the room. The Malfoy and Potter hugged.
"Now we won't have to be apart!" Draco sighed happily. They pulled away, holding each other at arms length.
"Awe, now does that mean you missed me when we were?" Harry mocked, instantly making Draco's face heat up.
"O-of course I did, Potter." He mumbled, his face dropping as he looked to the side. "You're my only friend." He almost whispered. The air grew with a tension emanating off of Draco. Harry smiled warmly.
"Hey..." He said, catching Draco's attention. "I'm going to stay your friend... I'm not leaving you." Harry was tackled to the ground, Draco's arms wrapped around his neck.
"You're a git, you know that...?" Draco whispered into Harry's neck.
"I know, Draco..." the gryffindor wrapped his arms around the Slytherin's waist, smiling. "I know..."
