The next morning when Draco awoke, Harry was nowhere to be seen. He rubbed his eyes sleepily and looked around the dull, empty room. Was it a dream after all' he couldn't  help to think. Once he did, depression started rising in the pit of his heart, sinking lower and lower as time passed.

"Oh, you're up." A voice said. Draco's head whipped around and he sighed in relief. There stood Harry, holding a tray of food smiling down on him. "Are you okay enough to eat?" Harry walked closer, setting the tray on the bedside table. Draco nodded solemnly. Even the thought of food has his stomach in a knot. But he wanted to change if it meant he got to be around Harry. He took the tray, setting it on his lap. Picking up his silverware, Draco gulped and slowly started to cut his French toast. He lifted the syrup coated substance to his mouth and took a bite. Almost immediately, he bent over to the other side of his bed and threw it back up. The bed dipped down and Harry rubbed his back slowly. "Sorry... I should have gotten something lighter, huh?" He sighed to himself. Draco wanted to say it wasn't his fault but he was a little preoccupied. He was so embarrassed to have anyone see him like this, let alone Harry, who he's had the biggest crush on since first year. He wouldn't exactly call it a crush, though. Crush is a more... Disposable term. What Draco felt was beyond anything he can get rid of. He was truly in love. But letting Harry see him like this was far too much. Before any of this, he never opened up. To anyone. He was so concealed and content. Nothing could break him. But now, he was far past broken. He was shattered. A mirror cracked down the middle defining the Happy from sad. He had thought on it a little more, and smiled softly after he stopped throwing up. "What are you thinking about?" Harry asked, brushing the bangs from Draco's face. Draco opened his mouth to speak, but Harry held a finger up in silence. "Madam Pomfrey said it would be best if you don't speak today, to help with sore tonsils and all. So... Here." He pulled up a parchment and quill, setting the ink on the table. Draco took them and smiled weakly before writing a 'thank you' on the paper. "Of course. What would Hogwarts do without it's favorite drama queen?" Harry mocked. Draco rolled his eyes and let out a strained laugh that led into a cough. Harry rubbed his back again. "Sorry.." He muttered. Draco smiled slightly up at him as if to say 'it's fine'. "So... What were you thinking about..?" Harry quirked an eyebrow, smiling lopsided at Draco. Draco nodded and started scribbling his answer.

'It's a surprise. You know, to thank you for all of this. For caring... I never thought I would get that from anyone.' He wrote.

"Of course I care Draco. You are not bad." Harry sat on the bed next to him. He reached over to take Draco's arm in his hand. "This is not who you are. You define yourself. Not what your father wanted you to be." Draco was speechless. He pulled Harry into a hug, whispering a quiet 'thank you'.

"Well, hogsmeade is coming up..?" He shrugged. "We could, go together?" Draco smiled and started writing.

'Okay. Then let me take you shopping. Besides, it looks like you need my fashion expertise.' They both laughed, Draco's weak but hearty.

"There's the old Draco." Harry said a bit quietly. They smiled at each other. Harry pulled out his wand casting an accio, having an apple appear in the bedside table. Taking the tray off of Draco's lap, he threw away the food and flood the dishes to the kitchen. "Get some rest, alright? If you need me for anything, ask Madam Pomfrey."

'I will' Draco wrote. They shared a hug and Harry walk out, waving before the door closed.
