Draco woke up early, jumping out of his new bed and running out of the room. He ran all the way to Harry's when he noticed he wasn't up yet. Knock knock knock, but the sound in itself was not enough to wake the great Harry Potter up. He groaned, rolling over and covering his face with his pillow.

"Wake up, sleepy head." Draco opened the door easily, despite the lock spell Harry put on it the night prior. Harry groaned again and shielded his eyes from the sunlight pouring in through the windows.

"Mmm... Dray, It's too early..." He mumbled, muffled by his pillow.

"Come on, Harry! It's Hogsmeade!" Draco jumped up on the bed, taking the pillow from Harry's face and hitting him with it repeatedly. They both laughed as Harry struggled to stop him.

"Okay okay, I'm up." Harry took off his covers and slid off his bed. Draco stared at him, eyes popping out of their sockets. 'Oh Merlin' He had thought staring at Harry's shirtless body. A defined tan, slim figure with large muscles and abs to top it off. He couldn't help but gawk at it all. It may have been a little too much for him, however.

"Right... I'm. I'm gonna go get ready." He said dazed, wobbling out of the room. He had sat on the couch in their common room, looking at the fire with a small smile.

"Hey." Harry emerged from his room, now fully dressed. He sat on the opposite end of the couch, pulling his knees up against his chest mimicking Draco. "Hey, Kreacher." Harry said to nothing in particular. In popped a house elf that looked old and hagged.

"Hmm. And what does the young Master wish for me to do for him, sir." He muttered in his usual monotone and disapproving voice, as per usual.

"Can you get me and Draco two hot chocolates, please?" Harry asked politely, offering a smile. The house elf nodded and disappeared, fetching the beverage.

"Are you sure he's not going to poison it..?" Draco whispered, slightly shivering from the creatures presence.

"I'm never sure..." Harry Muttered. They both burst out laughing. Kreacher came back, handing them both their beverages and leaving without another word. The two boys talked over their hot chocolate, awaiting the afternoon to begin so they can leave to Hogsmeade.

"So, Harry. I never got to ask you..." Draco said after taking a sip of his drink. "What are the muggles like? Like your aunt and uncle. What kind of people are they?" He said, so simply. Harry practically choked on his drink, his mood growing foul.

"They are horrible people..." Harry muttered with a dangerous look on his face. This instantly caught Draco's attention. He reached over, setting his hand over Harry's free one, a soft smile on his face.

"Do you want to talk about it..?" He asked smoothly. Harry looked at Draco in desperation, needing to tell someone. He nodded slowly, sighing before beginning.

"There's no simple way to explain what they do and why. To them, they see wizards and witches as freaks... They see me as a freak. My Aunt Petunia wakes me up each morning with a long list of chores I need to complete by the end of the day or they'd starve me. I cook their meals, and if it's not exactly like they want it, they'd starve me. My uncle was abusive physically. Even if I looked at him wrong, he'd beat me and throw me in my room, locking me up." A tear rolled down Harry's cheek and with each sentence, Draco got angrier and angrier. "Hell, I lived in a cupboard under the stairs for most of my life... And then there's Dudley. My cousin. He's treated as if he were a king. Where he lacks in intelligence, he makes up for in strength. He only sees me as a punching bag..." He finished. By now, Draco was fuming, shaking in anger and balling his hands into fists.

"Why, I'll kill them!" He jumps up in rage. Harry widened his eyes and grabbed his arm.

"No... This is what I was afraid of. Draco, I don't want you getting in any sort of trouble for me." Harry looked up at the Slytherin with his teary eyes. "Please." He pleaded silently. Draco sighed and sat down again.

"Well, if I can't kill them, then I have to get you out of there... You can't go back there... I can't lose you." Draco was now looking over at Harry, locking their eyes. The silence that filled the room drew them to lose themselves staring into one another's eyes, lost in the orbs of forest-emerald green and glass silver.

"So..." Harry said, breaking eye contact by blinking a few times. "What about you? Don't think I haven't noticed you acting off ever since school began. Probably even before than." Draco sat back down in his original, fetal position.

"It's just... Everything. My father expected everything from me and I tried for so long to please him.... My mother is now suffering with stress and depression since he was sent to azkaban. My only friends now don't even do so much as look at me because the... The dark mark was forced upon me.." He trailed off on the last part. "I've had nightmares about the war that don't stop, and I feel at blame for all of the deaths." Now, he was choking up holding back tears. "I was on the wrong side of the war. I wanted so bad to be on the good side, but I'm a death eater... No one would trust me..." A single tear rolled down Draco's cheek, it being wiped away by Harry's thumb.

"Hey..." Harry said in a demanding yet soft tone. "The weight you've placed upon your shoulders is going to crush you. Take it off. You don't need to be perfect. You don't need to have it all together. You don't need to be anyone or anything other than who you are. You are more than good enough. Who you are is beautiful..." Harry whispered the last part, only for Draco's ears to hear in the empty room. "Who you are will be loved. You're so special in more than one way. Just please... Don't blame yourself." Draco was astonished. His heart felt lighter than ever, taking off the giant rock he carried around to bide himself. He leaned closer, just praying he was doing the right thing, flickering his eyes to Harry's lips. Harry started doing the same and soon enough, their lips caught each other. They moved slowly yet passionately in sync with the other. Both of their thoughts were swimming around and their stomachs burst with butterflies as their hearts flipped. It was a beautiful moment, that lasted a minute before their separation. They rested their foreheads on one another, lacing their fingers. The moment taken in by silence. "Draco.... I really, really like you." Harry finally broke it. He looked hopefully into Draco's eyes. A spark of excitement conjoining the two.

"Yeah.. I really, really like you too." Draco whispered happily. "You Prat..." He smirked deviously. Harry smiled back, softly.

"Brat..." He says as he connected their lips, yet again.
