Chapter 2

Aidan watched as his girlfriend Chloe was asleep in the back seat and her feet were up against the window. He stopped the car just to watch her. His eyes became droopy. He locked the doors rolled down the windows a little bit and then climbed in the back with her. He laid down next to her and her body snuggled into his chest. He kissed the top of her head and her eyes fluttered open.

"No, go back to sleep" he whispered and her eyes fell back down. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

An hour later he felt cold air hit his chest and realized Chloe wasn't in his arms and the car was moving. He sat up and saw her driving the car down the high way. "Chloe it's still night time, come back to me" he said and held his arms to her like a little child. He laughed and he started kissing her neck. "Aidan stop it I'm trying to drive" she said tilting her head for him to stop.

Aidan pouted then climbed up into the passenger seat. Then the high way came to a dead end.

"Wait the map didn't show a dead end?" Aidan said and pulled it out. Chloe slowed down and stopped to look at it. He showed her the map. Her finger scanned it then fell upon a old road that leads back to another high way. "Hey we can take that road" she said and the car started moving to where she calculated the road to the right. Then it seemed the trees opened up and the road appeared.

"Chloe we should just turn around this place gives me the creeps" Aidan said and put his hand on her leg. "Aidan grow up its just a short cut" Chloe assured him and made the turn onto the road. She then took a left and a huge house appeared in front of them.

"Wait why the hell would a house be in the middle of no where?" Aidan asked her, she shrugged her shoulders. She turned to avoid a car with a very badly destroyed tire. "Damn!" She said and drove down to the house. There was no exit. "Really?" She said mad and parked the car. "I don't understand where is the high way?" Aidan said and then looked up to see a sign in front of the house.

"Bed and Breakfast?" He read out loud. Chloe looked up to see it. "Chloe we're tired from a long drive to the lake maybe we could spend the night here?" Aidan asked. "You said it gave you the creeps!" Chloe said and he opened the door. "well not the house just the road" He said and got out.

"Aidan I don't trust this place I've got a bad feeling about it" She said as she exited the car. Aidan walked around grabbed her hand and kissed her. "Its going to be okay" He assured her and started walking up to the house.

The porch steps creaked as they stepped on them and a raven sat on the roof looking down upon them. Aidan reached out and pressed the door bell. A erie ring roamed the house and Chloe grabbed Aidan's arm.

The door knob wiggled and the door opened to reveal a man about 20 years old with dark brown hair and piercing brown eyes. "Hello welcome to the Bed and Breakfast my name is Henry Quincy and I'm the owner of this establishment" He said and opened the door wide open.

Chloe POV

Henry reached out to shake Aidan's hand. Aidan gladly took his hand and firmly shook it. Then he put his hand out, but instead of shaking mine he kissed the top of my hand. A little bit like a gentlemen.

"I'm Aidan and this is my girlfriend Chloe" Aidan said introducing us. "Chloe what a beautiful name" He said in a deep tone voice. I smiled.

"So how may I help you too?" Henry asked and let us walk in. Aidan answered "Just a room for the night". He then closed the door and walked over behind the front desk to the side. "that will be $23.45" Henry said and Aidan took out his wallet. I look around the beautiful house looking at the fire place and the wood work around it. "This house is beautiful" I said under her breath.

Aidan walked over and placed his hand on the small of my back. "Yes.. Yes it is" Aidan said. Henry looked over at the couple then saw Aidan's hand on her back. Henry walked over to us gently touching my shoulder. "Ill show you to your room" Henry said and walked to the stairs and lead us to the room where we will spend the night.

He unlocked a door and opened it to reveal a king size bed with red velvet covers and a wide open window view. He walked us in and we looked at the beautiful room.

"Thank you, Henry" Aidan said and Henry walked out of the room and closed the door behind him.
