Chapter 6: Henry P.O.V
I picked up Aidan's head and heard Chloe's head it the floor as she fainted from screaming to much. I took his head and found a wooden stake laying on the floor. I hammered into into the floor boards and stabbed his head onto it.
I promised Aidan Chloe would live if he took her place. And so I keep my promises. I unchained Chloe and carried her up to her room. I laid her onto the bed and she looked so calm and peaceful. Her head rested against the pillow and I saw Ashley appear next to her on the other side.
"You're a monster Henry! You have destroyed her life!" Ashley tormented me as I watched Chloe. Her chest slowly lifted up every few seconds as she breathed.
Ashley looked down at Chloe and she then disappeared.
Chloe's skin looked so alive unlike the dead people who wander my house keeping me in such terrible company. I'd never had a person Alive in my house after midnight. I looked over and saw the alarm clock turn to 12:01 am.
I took my hand and touched Chloe's long brown hair and then my fingers glided down her arm. The warmth of her skin was so different from the pale dead corpses. The cold corpses have no life, no heat.
I stood up and left the room.
I sat out side the door and leaned against the hallway wall and fell asleep. The only thought that ran through my mind was Chloe will hate me forever. She will hide and run from me. Maybe I shoulder have killed her too. Or maybe I should just let her go. I'm never meant to be near other living beings. I am a murderer. I am a killer. I kill for the joy of my monsters and creations. What if she finds out about what the doors she saw meant?
All I know now is Chloe will never want to stay with me.
