The rain pours down as the buildings burn. I run away from the battle clutching my egg. I look back and see my husband Carter. He's fighting against The Group so I can get away. I want to help but I must save our child. I scream out a second to late. The dragon was already upon him and had jumped on his back. I stop. He looks at me and nods as the dragon on his back ripped him apart. I cry as a fly away knowing he will never meet his son but, also knowing what to name the child. He will be named Louis just like the dragon who hatched on one of the two moons of this planet. I make it to the building which has the escape pods. It is only me and a soldier who fled from the battle. I step into the pod but he doesn't follow he says "S-someone has to wait and see if there is any more." I quickly say "No, come with me, there was no one else flying from the battle and if you stay for more than a couple minutes you'll be killed." I look at him and imagine him being killed like Carter. "Come on let's go, I don't want to have to live knowing I let someone die because they waited to see if there were others even though there weren't." He hesitates. Then he looks back at where the birds were gathering. A tear goes down his face and he says "My wife and child, I would have waited here for them forever if you had not showed up." He steps in the pod with me and closes the door. We latch ourselves in and I glance out the small window on the door. I will probably never return to this planet so I must get one final look at it. "Are you ready?" he asks me. I nod and he pulls the lever to eject. We shoot into the sky just fast enough to get out of the planet's atmosphere. About five minutes later i see how small our planet is compared to the closest planet which is Mel (it's only 10,469 miles away). I was starting to get hungry when I saw the two moons. There are supplies to stay alive up for a month for 5 dragons inside the pod so we were safe for about 2 months. I soon fell asleep after a small meal of dried meat bread. I awoke to the sound of voices over a speaker and the soldier said "Yes there is a woman, her egg, and I. I do not know the woman's name but I'm Henry". I looked out the window and saw a rescue ship. Henry, Louis, and I were safe.
