Hyde couldn't focus entirely on his conversation with... who's the girl's name again?
Well, how could one focus on anything else than a certain angel who's scowling at the masochistic fangirls? An angel who's scrubbing the tables like he was a cat filing his nails? An angel who's practically juggling the orders to the tables? It was but a sight too amusing to be missed.
"Hyde~ Have you even been listening?" The girl in front of him, Katja, admonished him for like the third time. By then, she'd had it. "I'll be going, then. Just wait for your stupid boyfriend!" So she said as she left the table.
Hyde was stunned, but made no move to stop her. Instead, his eyes drifted to the angel working on his working.
Suddenly, a waiter came by Hyde, his face rather frustrated. A name tag was attached on his left breast, written 'Hackett'. He certainly lived up his name, looking like a little woodsman.
"Uhhh, Herr? If you're not ordering, there are people who are currently waiting outside, so..." So the male told him nervously, not finishing his sentence. He was rather discretious in talking, a result of being rejected by many customers who wanted Licht to pick up their orders.
Of course, Lawless wasn't offended, he'd been a waiter more than once. And true enough, all he did in the cafe was paying for the girl who had left him after flirting with him. The vampire flashed a grin not wide enough to show his fangs off, ordering his favourite drink. "Then, a double espresso."
The waiter left the table with a delighted expression. He scurried off to the kitchen. Hyde laughed at the gesture, pitying him.
"An order from table five! Uh... uh, it was..." Hackett was too excited that he had forgotten a single order, and he didn't write it off! The poor waiter hung his head in shame. He was too anxious and scared to go back and ask, even if the customer seemed like the nicest one he'd met that day.
Lucky for him, Licht was there, in the kitchen. He remembered that he'd guide a certain vampire of his belonging to the exact number of table. He saw Katja left earlier, so the order should came from Hyde. And if it were the order of said person, it would be...
"A double espresso, isn't it?" He asked without hesitation. Even, rather than a question, it was more like a statement, reaching out to the barista to immediately start on the making. Hackett's eyes lit up as he exclaimed, "that's it, a double espresso!"
The other waiters stared at Licht in awe as he brought the order. Licht had been used to the stares, but he was always content to receive it.
"You finally made an order, rotten hedgehog." The pianist said as he was giving Hyde his order. The male in glasses chose to ignore the bantering insult. "Thanks, Licht-tan!" Hyde voiced out as the cup of espresso was set in front of him.
Feeling like he should tell the customer what happened back there, Hackett did. He rushed out from the kitchen to table five, where the Greed pair was.
"Well, Herr, I- I kind of forgot your order earlier, but my colleague Jekylland saved me! He- he knew exactly who you are and what you ordered-" Boasted the waiter, before Licht cut him. "That's enough to speak to the demon here. Go back." He said crudely.
Lawless just sat there, awestruck. Licht knowing his preferences felt... good, no! It should be creepy, shouldn't it?
"Ouch!" Suddenly, pain stopped him from thinking.
"Don't read into it too much, shit rat. How can you not know when your home's full with double espresso while you dislike sweet?" Licht stopped his thoughts as he kicked the vampire's shin, earning a light groan from the latter party.
When Hyde was just about to protest, he saw a light blush tinting the angel's cheeks. He froze at once. There's no way Licht would be embarrassed of something like that! ... right? Well, at least, he could wait for Licht for that.
"I'll wait for ya 'till your shift's ended, Licht-tan! Do you want me to wait here or outside?" The were-hedgehog asked.
Licht was about to answer when he remembered something. "A guy asked me out earlier." He bluntly said, however his tone was as if asking something.
Hyde didn't know why but he felt like he was becoming angrier. "Well," he said, "Licht-tan would rather be with a guy whom he just met rather than this cute Lawless?" He asked mockingly with a fake hurt, though he wasn't so sure if he wasn't actually hurting.
Licht blinked at Hyde as if bemused. "Shit rat, I'm stuck with you every day. A night out with another won't hurt." Wait, a night? Licht planned nowhere that far.
Hyde snorted and retorted. "Yeah, but you didn't even know his name, Licht-tan! What will you shout in bed? 'Oh, I'm an angel!'?"
It succeeded in making the waiter kicking the customer in the gut. Sure enough, it attracted attention of many people. Licht realized this and groaned. "We're in public, shit rat..."
The flame of jealousy which Hyde didn't recognize himself had already been inflamed, even with the comical situation. He deliberately ignored the sting in his stomach. "Then let's not be in public." Said male grabbed Licht's hand forcefully. The action took Licht by surprise that he didn't have time to defy him. The actor took the pianist to the alley just next to the café where they were.
"So," Licht demanded for explanation, "what do you want with me, shit rat?"
Another surprise for the day : Hyde kabedon-ed Licht. His crimson eyes glinted with avarice as he stared at cerulean orbs widened broadly. The other party, meanwhile, was too flabbergasted. Fear slowly seeped in as Hyde let out an animalistic growl. Licht should've been able to kick him, but at the same time, he couldn't.
"Hyde...?"
'Aaah... what is this, is it going to take over me, again?"
Hyde knew this feeling. Even if he knew he was wrong and that whatever he doing was irrational. He couldn't help but feeling like raping his Eve, right there and then, as his 'greed' slowly began taking over the consciousness he'd been holding on to.
It would settle with just a teeny bit of Licht's blood!
Pale white skin shivered as long fingers, accessorized with bangle and rings, was caressinng it. Instead of kicking him, Licht felt like he was gradually being number, flinching every once in a while. The tenseness's intensity reached its peak when Hyde stabbed his fangs to Licht's neck roughly.
"Hyde...! Stop- you..."
The dark-haired's pained screech reached no one's ear as 'Greed' had used its power to conceal both of their presences.
