I'm in a meadow. It's so beautiful here. There are butterflies everywhere. I giggle as I see a particularly colorful one near me and walk towards it. As I crouch down to observe it flutters away from the tiger lily it was resting on and lands on the tip of my nose. I can't contain my giggles which scares the butterfly away.

I rise to a standing position, and I notice a large stone tall enough to climb. Resting on its peak is a large bird. Its wings remain unfolded like it's showing off its broad wingspan. I suddenly feel the need to go to the bird. I begin to climb the rock. Suddenly I lose my balance and fall cutting my leg, making the rock and the bird disappear.

I'm suddenly not in a meadow any more. I'm in a white room with a small koala in it. Circling the tiny creature is a large lion. I want to scream, but no sound comes out of my mouth. I quickly run to the koala hoping to shield it from the large animal. After the koala falls asleep in my arms, I look up to find myself face to face with the lion. Upon meeting my eyes, the lion's snarl relaxes, and he immediately starts circling me. After a moment, I realize somehow that the lion is now protecting me. He keeps his watchful gaze pointed outwards to look for unknown threats.

Then I am back in the meadow. The sun is shining so brightly keeping me warm despite the strong breeze. On one side of me stands the mighty lion, my protector. On the other, sits the trusting koala whom I need to protect. I need to choose one, but the other will die. I can't make the choice. The koala needs my help, but I owe my life to the lion. I can't choose, so I don't. I fall back into the grass and let myself die instead. The last thing I see before going is the strong light of the sun.

I wake to a knock on my door.

"Dani?" Jungkook speaks from the other side of the door.

"Kookie?"

"Can you open the door for me?" He asks. "I need to tell you something now before I lose my courage."

I almost fall off the bed trying to get to the door. Before I can unlock the door, his voice stops me.

"Wait! Before you open the door close your eyes for me."

"Why?"

"I've got a surprise for you. Just trust me. You trust me right Dani?"

I nod but stop when I realize that he can't see me.

After closing my eyes and opening the door for him I feel two hands around my waist. I tense, but try my best to not jump back because I don't want Jungkook to get mad at me. He pulls me against him and starts whispering my name in his ear.

"Dani, Dani, my sweet Dani, you're so beautiful Danielle." It's then that I freeze in almost every sense of the word. Jungkook has never called me Dani. He doesn't even know I go by that nickname.

Suddenly I pushed against the wall and my eyes fly open.

"Surprise Princess," Jared looks down at me.

I try my best to stifle my screams when I wake up. I stay in bed suppressing sobs while pinching myself repeatedly to verify that I'm awake, that it was just a dream, that he's not here. The terror is so bad my chest hurts, and when I hear a knock on the door, my heart feels like it stops.

"Danielle, are you okay?" I recognize Jimin's voice, but in light of my dream, I ask anyway.

"Who is it?"

"It's Jimin. I heard a scream from my room are you hurt or anything? Can you open the door for me?"

"No!" I reply all too quickly, "I'm fine just a bad dream that's all."

"Do you want to tell me about it?"

"Through the door?" I ask raising an eyebrow that he doesn't see.

"Sure, if that will make you comfortable, we can do that. Come closer to the door though I can't hear you that well right now."

Cautiously I crawl out of bed taking my blanket with me of course (to protect me from the monsters duh) and sit down in front of the door. "Okay, I'm here," I tell him quietly.

"Okay... so do you want to start with your dream or mine?" He asks

"Can we do yours first?"

"Well, I had a dream that I was on a beach somewhere, and I saw my little brother, but he said he needed to leave. Before he left he told me that the members would meet me here on the beach as long as I didn't move. So, I stood, waiting for what seemed like days, but the members never came. There was more to the dream, but I don't remember after that." There is a silence after he finishes.

"Did you move? Is that why they never came?"

"I don't know, maybe I just didn't wait long enough."

"Maybe they did come and you just forgot that part."

"Maybe..." Jimin trails off.

"My turn I guess," I tell him all that I remember about the meadow and the eagle. He remains silent as I mention the lion and the koala. I leave out the part about Jungkook holding me and tell him that I opened the door to find Jared before he attacked me. After I finish, the silence once again consumes us. "Do you think he'll ever leave? I know he is dead, but I still can't escape him."

Jimin is silent for so long that I start to question if he is still on the other side of the door. "Truly I don't know, but it might get better with time. Regardless, if you are ever feeling bad, you can come talk to me again. Even if he doesn't leave your mind, I won't leave your side. Don't be afraid to lean on me whenever."

"Okay," I knock my forehead against the door at the sound of my own anticlimactic response, but Jimin simply giggles.

"Jimin?"

"Yeah"

I stand up and grip the locked doorknob. "Can you call me by that nickname you gave me? Can you call me Dani?"

"What? I thought you didn't want me to call you Dani?"

"Then what's the nickname you gave me?"

"ken nun?" I sigh in relief at the sound and unlock the door. I open the door realizing too late that he was leaning against it.

Jimin falls into the doorway landing on his back. There is another silence as I stand over him, wide eyes locked with his. After a minute, the silence is broken by my giggles. Thankfully he joins in too, so I'm not just flat out laughing at him.

Afterwards, he just lays there smiling up at me. "I'm glad I could make you laugh," he murmurs, "I missed hearing you laugh."

Here's some softness in celebration of the upcoming work of god AKA the Hixtape!!! Enjoy the feels while they  last because the next few chapters are gonna be more action packed than before. Also I'm going be pretty inactive for a month or so because I've another musical coming up next week and I like sleep more than I like updating (sorry, but also not really) this chapter wasn't gonna happen but I just had to in honor of our hope, our angel.
