In the musical "Heathers", The Heathers sing "Candy Store" to tell Veronica that if she wants to be popular that she'd have to prove it by abandoning her best friend.
A/N:Of course she does 😒
Anyway, to me I took the song a little more than just a bunch of 1980s Plastics being bitches.
I took it as having the courage to do something or get something that you want.
Let me explain before you go off on me for siding with the bitches of the musical.
Anyway, the reason I say this is because the Heathers talk about the benefits of being popular.
And Veronica WANTS to be popular, she just didn't want to have the attitude of a popular.
I'm obviously not saying abandon your best friend, why the fuck would you do that? 😐😑
I'm saying without the friend abandonment the lyrics make me think of doing or getting what you want.
The Heathers make points like "Time for you to prove you're not a loser anymore"
Saying that if Veronica really wants to be popular she's got to show it, not hide in a corner or be afraid.
But they also wanted her to change her friendly attitude into theirs, which is bad I know.
If you think about it from a different perspective, and think about things you want but can't get them cuz you're shy or think people won't like you then wouldn't changing be good?

(A/N:Sorry for the short chapter, I'm busy as fuck these days. ANYWAY! Hope everyone's day is going well and also you guys should listen to "Blue" it's also from Heathers 😁)
