Soulmates.

A word, one little word. But a word that is packed with so much meaning. Everybody wants what the word holds.

A soulmate.

Soulmate.

The perfect lover. The lover that'll never let you go. The lover of your dreams, the mate that supports and holds you dear to his heart. The one that'll sacrifice their life to save you.

Soulmate.

In this world, your world is black and white. Simply black and white. No colors.

When you meet a lover, your world lights up into colors. But if a heartbreak were to happen, it becomes black and pale grey. Another, grey and black. So on, till you're left in darkness, alone. A soulmate would light it up slowly, till it fully disappears.

A soulmate would light it up more vibrant than anything else in the world.

And that's what Ian and Seto wanted. To find their soulmate.

"One strawberry shortcake and one apple pie!"

"On it!" Ian stirred the batter, quickly making the cake. He sighed a little, setting the batter in and putting it in the oven, milling around the kitchen and grabbing the strawberries and apples. He made sure they were red apples by the label.

His world was black and white, still not a heartbreak yet. He stayed close on his boundaries. He wanted his soulmate, his true lover.

Making the cake and apple pie, Ian cut the pieces, setting them on two plates and delivering it to the table, putting the extras on display. The little bell on the door rang for the who-knows-what time, a short brunet coming up.

"Can I have... a latte and a strawberry shortcake slice please?" Ian blinked, seeing his world twist into vibrant colors as the cash register rung up the customer's orders. Colors normal lovers can't achieve. His soulmate!

"Excuse me!" Squeezing past the workers, he ran out with a cake to put on display as an excuse, scanning the area. The bakery/cafe was busy, and any one of them could've been his. The cash register looked over, handing a slip of paper.

"Latte and slice of strawberry shortcake to Table #3." Running in, Ian was excited. So so excited. Making the latte as perfect as possible, his friend Sky watched in amusement.

"Ah, you found your soulmate?"

"Yep!" Sky chuckled, making a coffee. He already was with his soulmate, Ty. Speaking of Ty, the male came through the door, smiling and waving to the kitchen.

"Tyler!"

"Aww, don't use my full name love! Just my nickname is fine!" Hugging and kissing, Ian smiled. Soon that'll be his lover and himself. Grabbing the perfect-as-possible order, he went to Table #3, the person sitting there jolting a little. Ian widened his eyes.

The eyes... were black. Signal of many, many heartbreaks.

"Here's your order, love."

"L-L... Love?" Looking over to the manager, he nodded. Ian slid into the seat across from the brunet, smiling at his appearance.

Short and having a baby-like face, chocolate-colored long hair that swayed gently over his big eyes. His soul mate wore a purple hoodie, with a creeper face in the middle.

Goddamn he's a fucking cutie pie! "My world lit up when I heard your voice, what's your name?" Ian flinched as the person grabbed his bag, eyes filled with fear.

"S-Stay away!"

"Huh?"

"I-I already gone through too much, I don't need a sixth heartbreak!" Slamming down the money, the brunet made a dash towards the door, Ian speechless. He looked down at the money, collecting it and going back.

"No luck?"

"He's gone through six heartbreaks, can't blame him for not trusting me..." Putting the latte and cake away, Ian saw his vision still colored. "But he was a one of a kind..."

"Gonna go after him, eh?"

"Yep." Finishing, Ian set off, watching the colors. They would fade if they were far apart, strengthen if they were close. I'm coming to help you. I promise.
