"Seto? You alright? Do you need me to get you anything?" Ian gently ran his fingers through Seto's hair, Seto shaking his head.

"I want to walk around..."

"Love, you know you can't do that..." Kissing his forehead, Ian held his hand. "We can go out and I'll get you some candy, or I'll get it myself."

"First option, please." Lifting Seto off the bed, Ian carefully set him down into the wheelchair the hospital provided, taking the handles and walking out. Signing the paperwork and telling the receptionst that they'll be back in at least two hours, the two head out, Seto holding his book to his chest. "Ian... what's it like?"

"There's trees, lush, green trees. A few flower bushes here and there, and we're exiting the hospital gate." Heading to the town, Ian saw the place where the bombing happen closed off, police searching for people and removing the debrie. Going to the candy shop, the cashier looked up, eyes flitting down to Seto's medical band before looking away, pretending to be absorbed in a book. The other customers did the same, turning their children's head away and whispering. Ian narrowed his eyes, often glaring at the mothers who would hurry their child, whispering to the others. "Love, what do you want?"

"... Is there caramel?"

"Caramel?"

"It's my favorite candy..." Going to the caramel section, Ian set the chair against the wall while buying the sweets, making sure to stay close to Seto. The brunet read, trailing his fingers over the dots on his book.

"Pardon me, but he shouldn't be here. He should be at the hospital right now." Ian turned, facing a woman. "This place is for children, and the sight of him may scare them!"

"I digress, this place is for all ages. And if children get scared of seeing my soulmate, then I'm defending my soulmate if they try to do anything."

"Your... soulmate?"

"I'm doing everything that I can for him, for he is blind. I want to make him as happy as possible, and one day fix his eyes so he can view the world in color with me." Finishing, Ian took the handles, paying for the candy. "Bye." Quickly leaving, Seto sniffed, wiping his eyes. "Dear? What's wrong?"

"E-Everybody is looking at me, right?" Looking around, Ian scowled, as it was true. Looks of pity, confusion, and mockery.

"They don't matter." Taking a chocolate bar out, he handed it to Seto, letting the male nibble on it. Getting back to the hospital, Ian sent Seto back to his room, feeding him little bite-sized pieces. Ian set Seto back onto the bed, pulling the covers over. "Seto, you're going to see the world again."

"I'm blind, Ian..."

"No, I'll make it so when you get out of here, at least one of your disabilies are fixed." Ian got up, making a cup of tea. Mixing in a small amount of sleeping powder, Ian stirred it carefully. "Do you like your tea strong or light?"

"I-I usually drink it strong..." Gently sitting Seto up, Ian gently kissing his cheek.

"Here, drink this." Seto flinched as the hot liquid slightly burned his lips, Ian blowing over it to cool it down. Finishing the tea, Seto lied back down, Ian kissing his forehead. "Go to sleep, my dear. It'll be all okay." Quietly whimpering, Seto nodded, drifting to sleep. Lilia came in a few hours later, holding a little tray of cupcakes.

"Sleeping?"

"Yep. Is that for Seto?" Smiling, Lilia set it on the table.

"I'm working at the library, and we're both on the terms to get Seto eye surgery?"

"Yes, though I think because before I volunteered to help out with the debrie and was in the army before, it'll cost less." Going through his money, Ian narrowed his eyes a little before shutting the wallet. "How much do you have?"

"Decent, probably only one fourth of the cost if we have the discount." Putting the cupcakes in a spot so they'll stay fresh, Lilia left, Ian leaning back on the chair and holding Seto's hand.

I'm going to fix you, I'm sticking to my promise.
