F I V E

My mom was holding me. Nicki and Elliott stood there in shock. I was losing energy. Blood still dripping from my mouth. I fall out of my moms arms and onto the floor.

"Kasey!" My mom screams. Elliott picks me up bridal style.

"Elliott?" I try to speak.

"Hey gorgeous" he pushes a piece of my hair behind my ear. They put me in a car. My vision blurs so I can't recognise it.

"Tyler quickly" voices echoed. I ache all over. I close my eyes.

I slowly open my eyes and rub them. Nicki, Elliott, my mom and Tyler were sat round my bed. I tried to sit up but it hurt.

"Careful sweetheart" my mom puts my hair behind my ear.

"What happened?" I knew exactly what happened. Derek almost beat me to death. I just had to know it happened.

"Derek, he beat you" I put my head back on my pillow. He's disgusting. He almost beat his kid to death. Luckily it was Friday, I got the day off and Nicki and Elliott stayed with me.

LAUREN'S POV
I pull into the school parking lot. I get out and don't see Nicki or Kasey or even Elliott. I walk up to Noah.

"Hey Noah, have you seen Elliott, Nicki or Kasey?" He searches round.

"No sorry" he shrugs his shoulders and I walk away. I start walking towards the entrance. My phone starts ringing and I look at the caller ID.
It was Nicki. I answer.

"Hey Nicki where are you?"

Nicki: "I'm with Kasey, her mom, Elliott, and  Tyler.

"Why you with them? What's happened?"

Nicki: "Derek almost beat Kasey to death. We're at Tyler's"

"Oh my fucking god. Is she okay?"

Nicki: "she's in a lot of pain"

"I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch"

Nicki: "get down to Tyler's"

"Okay on my way"

I hang up and start running back to my car. Ethan grabs me.

"Ethan?"

"Where's Kasey?" I looked at him confused. Why does he want her?

"She's not in" I lie and I think he knows I'm lying.

"Anyway got to go" I jump in my car leaving him wanting to ask so many questions.

I speed to Tyler's house.

KASEY'S POV
Everyone left the room except my mom. She sat next to me.

"I'm so sorry sweetie" she hugs me tightly. She was now crying.

"It's fine mom, it's not your fault" I hug her back.

"Kasey?" I turn to look towards the door. Lauren is standing there crying. I smile at her.

"Hey Lauren" I smile at her.

"I'll leave you too" my mom kisses my head and leaves. Lauren walked over to me and hugged me tightly.

"He's a dickhead" I laughed.
