43 auditions, 30 participants and 5 rounds later, here we are. The X Factor Season 1 Finale
For the final judging, all the coaches ranked the 5 books based on overall enjoyment. These scores along with all the scores of the previous rounds were added together to decide our Winner.
However, before we get to that, here are a few words from our Top 5:

I definitely enjoyed the X Factor experience! I benefited from it by the amazing coach I had--thanks, Jess!--and my confidence benefited from it by getting this far. I never dreamed that I could get to the top five! As for why my book should win ... I worked hard on it, did a complete rewrite, and put blood, sweat, and tears into each and every character. I loved writing it, and the fact that people love reading it is just amazing to me. As to how to improve the competition, I think you guys did a great job!

For me, the X-Factor Awards has been an incredible experience. This competition has pushed me to be more critical of my work and taught me to be more confident in my writing. Most importantly, I've learned to better trust my instincts on what does or doesn't work in a story. Making top 5 has been a tremendous honor, and I hope that winning this competition would give me the opportunity to get more feedback on how I can take my writing to the next level. Overall, this competition is very well-organized. If I have to point out any possible improvement, it'd probably be the scoring system. It's nothing major, but I thought it'd be great if the scores could be shown for every round instead of in the last couple of rounds so that I can have an idea of how I fare in different areas of my writing. Other than that, I hope to see more of 'The X Factor Awards' in the future.

I enjoyed the X Factor Awards. It's a very creative way to do a contest and it allows books of contestants to be mentored. The authors receive feedback on their work, and they do not just fill a form in then sit and wait for the results.I now know the specific areas which I need to work on, unlike before when my thoughts were just all over the place.I genuinely cannot think of a reason why my work should be chosen above the others as the winner. We've all put in a lot of hard work and created such fascinating new stories. The others are fantastic authors. I am just happy to have reached the same stage as they have and that my story got this far! :)You did a good job on this competition. I can't really see any faults in it.

Did I enjoy the X Factor Experience? Yeah, I did. I always enjoy a good contest, and this proved to be one of them :)
In what ways have I benefited from it? My coach went through and left comments, which is always a great help because every comment helps and guides me on my way of being the best writer I can be :)
Why do you think my book should win? There are some bumps, but it is well written, and each aspect is deeply thought out, from the characters to the world to the plot. There might be some things that didn't come out right in the first draft, but they still don't take from the overall experience and lets the reads just have a fun time and immerse themselves in a world where dragons are real and actually bond with people.
How can you improve this competition? Hmmm. Nothing really comes to mind. I think you guys have done a good job :)

I have absolutely loved the X-Factor Awards this season. The high standard of everyone's entries has been fantastic and made me push myself as an author. The judges have had their work cut out! It has put me in contact with authors that I would never have come across, had I not entered. My writing has certainly benefitted from the wonderful feedback provided by my mentor Niranju98. It has given me the motivation to write even when I felt disheartened with my story. Honestly, my book is coming up against some really exceptional work. I've poured blood, sweat and tears into The Price of Peace, and just getting to the final has been a great recognition of that! The only thing I would say to improve is to shorted the round times. I know judges need time to read all the entrants, but in the later stages the rounds might benefit from being shortened :)
