As he finished the song, he looked up at me expectantly, almost like he was waiting for me to give him my opinion. I gulped, should I be honest and say that his voice resembled someone like Justin Timberlake, or should I play it cool and make some sarcastic comment?

Obviously, the sarcastic side won the battle.

"Wow, is this how you win all the girls hearts? Come in and play the guitar and watch as they melt into a puddle at your feet," I smirked at him, tilting my head as I waited for him to respond.

He laughed and shook his head. "Damn, are you always this critical to people you just met? I feel bad for anyone that's known you for an extended period of time."

I laughed as he stood up and walked over to the photo wall, gazing around at all the different pictures, probably trying to see who showed up the most. Most of the photos were of Kevin and I, whether it was at school or at a party or a sporting event. He was the one who always remembered to take a picture, I was more of a "if you're enjoying the moment you don't really feel the need to take a picture" kind of person.

I stood up and walked over just as he was pointing at a picture where Kevin and I were laughing as I was positioned on his back for a piggy back ride. "I'm assuming this is the boyfriend who has to put up with all of your snarky comments," he joked, but as I looked at him he had a curious, slightly nervous look on his face, almost like he was wishing the answer was no.

I smiled and shook my head. "That's my best friend Kevin that I was telling you about downstairs. We've known each other for years," I said as I looked around the rest of the pictures on the wall.

He smiled and nodded, his gaze moving back to the photo wall again. "Yeah, it seems like he's in most of these pictures," he said, and I chuckled before responding. "Well what's the point of having a boyfriend if you already have a guy best friend that buys everything for you."

He smirked and tilted his head as he looked down at me, and I started to feel a little nervous as his gaze kept going over my face. "What," I asked as I shifted from one foot to the other, trying to seem casual even though he was making me feel a little jittery.

"Nothing," he said as he shook his head and smiled. "Just wondering how someone like you is single."

I smiled and turned to face him, leaning against the wall as I tilted my head. "Oh yeah, and why is that so hard to believe?"

He shrugged. "Because I feel like someone would've been smart enough to ask you out, guy best friend or not," he said as he put his hands in his pockets, his eyes piercing into mine.

We kept staring at each other for a few minutes, and just as I opened my mouth to quiz him about his love life, I heard my mom call from downstairs.
"Hey kids, dinner's ready! Head on down!"

I sighed slightly, taking a slight step back and smiling up at him. "Well let's get going, don't want the food to get cold," I said as I walked out of the room, feeling his eyes piercing into my back as I went.

Ian's POV

I stared after her, my eyes slowly going over her incredible figure as she walked out of the room. I slowly let out a breath, running my hand through my hair as I walked towards her door, softly shutting the door behind me and starting towards the stairs.

As soon as she had opened the door, I was immediately attracted to her. Her long brown hair had a slight wave to it, showing that it was natural. Her eyes were a deep chocolate brown, her smile beautiful with a set of straight, white teeth, and her body was lean but toned, some slight muscle definition on her arms and legs. Her body was just the beginning though, because as soon as she opened her mouth her personality came out and had me hooked on the spot. I knew right then and there that I was going to be in some serious trouble with this girl.
