Enough is enough.

Lucas hadn't wanted to end up in this kind of situation. His parents had taught him to respect his elders, but he had reached his limits now. He would not let these people make his life miserable anymore.

Tonight... everything would change.

He saw Uncle Fred about to hit him for the second time, but Lucas didn't dare move. He stayed still, waiting for his uncle's hand to land on his face. It didn't happen. Uncle Fred's hand froze in mid-air. He saw him widen his eyes as the old man tried very hard to move his hand. There seemed to be a force preventing him from doing so.

Lucas wasn't surprised. It must be Amara.

"What's happening?" Uncle Fred's lips were twitching as fear started to fill his face. Lucas never expected the time would come when he would see that kind of satisfying expression on his uncle's face. He didn't know why, but he seemed to love it.

Aunt Greta raised her eyebrows as she looked at her husband. She approached him with annoyance on her face. "What are you doing? Come on! Hit him again until it sinks into that thick noggin of his! He shouldn't have provoked us!"

Lucas saw the old lady hold Uncle Fred's hand and pull it down with all her force, but to no avail. They were making funny rasping noises as Uncle Fred started to hit himself, again and again.

"STOP," yelled Aunt Greta. "You idiot!"

Then...

A dark cloud surrounded the entire room with a rumble that made the Millers shiver. Panic flared in their eyes as they looked around.

"W-What's that?" the old couple gasped as the two kids ran to them. They were paralyzed on the spot as a menacing aura held them in a tightening grip. Terror swept over them, raising fine hairs on the back of their necks. They felt their hearts beating in their ears, blocking all their senses.
