Groaning, I rolled over and blindly searched for the ringing phone on the bedside table. When I finally found it, I sat up with a groan when I saw who was calling.

"What do you want Niklaus?" I asked. The naked person sleeping next to me hit me with a pillow and rolled over so his back was facing me. I rolled my eyes and walked into the bathroom, not caring that I was naked.

"I have some good news brother. I have located the doppelgänger and I know where the moonstone is."

"Great." I said, finding some pants in the bathroom and putting them on.

"That's it? I expected more excitement. We're finally going to break our curse."

"You've said that before."

"This time is different. Just meet me."

"Fine. Where are you?"

"I'm where it all started. Mystic Falls."

Mystic Falls.

This is the place where I was born. This is the place where I died. And the place where I was reborn.

So many memories. Some good. Some bad.

I walked through the streets of Mystic Falls just taking in the sights. I haven't been here in so long. The last time I was here I'd ran into Katerina, who now goes by Katherine. Unlike my big brother, I didn't want Katherine dead. I actually liked Katherine. She was fun and she was a survivor. What can I say? I have a soft spot for survivors.

I found the apartment building Klaus said he'd be at. I opened the apartment door expecting not to be aloud in, I was pleasantly surprised when I could walk right in.

When I walked in the first thing I saw was a doppelgänger unconscious on the floor. Probably Katherine.

The next thing was one of my brothers witches. He stood over someone sitting in a chair, chanting something. I rolled my eyes and leaned against the wall when I realised what my brother was doing.

The chanting continued and soon Katherine woke up. She rolled onto her side, not noticing me. Katherine looked around, her eyes widened when she saw me. I gave a sarcastic wave with my fingers. She opened her mouth to sat something when the chanting stopped. She turned to looked and I just watched with a bored expression.

The man stood up and the witch bowed. I silently scoffed.

Katherine shakily stood up and he turned to face her. "Alaric?" She questioned. 'Alaric' just smiled and slowly walked forward. I wasn't surprised when Katherine sped to the door and I wasn't surprised when she couldn't leave.

"Zdravei, Katerina. I have missed you." He said, holding her face.

"Klaus."

"What a beautiful reunion." I said sarcastically. Klaus turned to me with a smirk, a hand holding firmly onto Katherine's arm.
