"You think he'd understand why I'm willing to do this." Elena Gilbert said, referring to Damon. She looked at the Original vampire, Elijah.
"Why are you?" Elijah asked.
"I'm the key to breaking the curse. Klaus is here because of me. If I don't stop him, then he's gonna hurt people. It's that simple."
Elijah stared at the doppelgänger and admired her bravery. He questioned if he should tell her about Jasper, his little brother. The problem was Elijah didn't know where Jasper was. Jasper was his little brother, his baby brother, even if he didn't look it. Elijah hoped Jasper wasn't in Mystic Falls, the last time he'd seen him he'd been in LA.
"You know there is a possibility this elixir won't work. I don't want to mislead you." Elijah said, deciding not to mention his baby brother.
"I know the chance I'm taking."
They both looked away when a door slams and they heard Jenna's yelling. Elijah and Elena looked at each other before going to investigate.
It was Alaric.
After providing it was Alaric and not Klaus Alaric they all moved to the sitting room.
"So you don't remember anything that happened?" Stefan asked Alaric.
"No. It's like I blacked out, and woke up three days later. Katherine was there."
"She's under compulsion. Damon snuck her some vervain. But she can't leave until Klaus tells her she can." Said Stefan.
"There was also someone else there. I didn't recognise him."
Elijah stepped forward with a frown on his face.
"Was he tall with dark hair? Hazel brown eyes? Fading marks on his skin?" Elijah asked. They all looked to him with different expressions.
"Y-yeah. Exactly like that."
"Who is he?" Elena asked.
"He is my brother."
"What?! I thought Klaus was your brother."
"Didn't you say Klaus killed all your siblings?"
"Jasper is the youngest of us all. We all loved each other but Jasper was always the favourite. He's also the kindest one of us. But he's also the most dangerous if you get on his bad side, luckily he's always been the forgiving type." Elijah said with a fond smile.
