With all the terrible shit I've done in my very long life, I know I'm going to hell. And right now, I'd rather be burning down in the fiery pits of hell then in this place called high school.

I'd compelled my way into the high school so I could watch the doppelgänger and her friends from a distance. The witch, doppelgänger and the younger Salvatore walked into the classroom and I followed them. I could see the Salvatore watching me from the corner of his eyes. I sat down at the back of the class and placed a small notebook in front of me. I needed to at least look like I belonged here. Even if the notebook was just a bunch of random sketches.

I made sure to keep the doppelgänger in my sight. I saw her show the witch a flier. A dance and the theme was the 60's. Oh god. The 60's.

"Hello class."

'Alaric', aka Klaus, walked into the classroom. His eyes landed on the doppelgänger and the look in his eyes was a mix of delight, satisfaction and dark excitement.

I stretched out my long legs and folded my arms, a smirk on my face. This should be good.

"What are we learning today?"

"With the decade dance, we've been covering the 60's all week." A girl answered.

"Right. The 60's." God, I hated the 60's. I was more of a 17th century man. And the 20's. The 80's just gave me a headache. I liked the scandalous eras, they were more fun.

"The, ahem," klaus started again. "The 60's...wish there was something good I could say about the 60's, but they kind of sucked. Except for the Beatles. They made it bearable. Uh, what else was there? The Cuban missile thing, the um - we walked on the moon. There was Watergate."

"Watergate was the 70's, Ric." The doppelgänger said and everyone turned to her. "I-I mean, Mr Saltzman."

"Right, it kind of mushes together up here, the 60's, 70's. Thank you, Elena." Klaus said and turned back to the board.

I rolled my eyes and leaned back in my chair. I closed my eyes and just waited for this horrible day to be over.

I walked through the halls of the high school with a frown on my face. I don't know how anyone would actually want to come to a place like this. I just wanted to go home and sleep.

"There you are. I've been looking for you." Klaus said walking up to me.

"Here I am." I muttered, not looking at him. From the corner of my eye I saw Klaus frown. He grabbed my arm and pulled me into an empty classroom.

"What?" I snapped and pulled my arm from his grasp.

"You don't seem as happy about breaking our curse as I am. In fact, you don't seem to be doing anything to help me break it."

I raised my eyebrows and then started to laugh. Klaus glared at me and I stopped laughing.

"Just because I'm not jumping in joy or hardly taking my eyes off the doppelgänger like you, doesn't mean I'm doing nothing. In fact, earlier today I heard an interesting conversation between the witch and the doppelgängers brother. The witch thinks she has enough power to kill an Original but the price would be her life. Now, if we play this right it could be used to our advantage and I'm currently working on a plan for that."

Klaus watched me with a surprised look on his face. A thousand years, you'd think he knew me better. Suddenly, Klaus smirked.

"Anything else I should know?" He asked.

"I compelled one of the students, Dana I think, to tell the doppelgänger to save you a dance tonight." I replied with a smile.

"Little brother, always a bit dramatic."

"Not as bad as you though, Nik. And don't worry, I made Dana tell the doppelgänger you were hot." I smirked and walked out the classroom.

"See you at the dance!" I called over my shoulder.

I left the school and not even an hour later I found myself standing in front of a mirror trying on several suits.

My phone rang and I grabbed it from my jacket thrown on a chair.

"What now?" I asked.

"You were right. The witch is all juiced up and ready to kill me." Klaus said.

"Is Maddox there? Put the phone os speaker." I said.

"It's on speaker. We're gonna have go find a way to kill her."

"That might not be necessary." I said, turning to the side to look at my suit.

"What do you mean?" Klaus asked, I heard moving and banging from the other end of the phone. "Crossbows, wooden bullets and automatics? Who is this guy again?"

"He's the local vampire hunter." I heard Katherine say.

"Tonight is the high school dance and I'm gonna need you to take out the witch bitch." Klaus said with a grumble.

"To take out the witch would kill you, well the body you're in, but still you." I said.

"Jasper is right. But there's also the fact that if she has as much power as you say, she'll be able to sense me coming from a mile away. I won't be able to get near her. You'll have to do it." Maddox said.

"In this body? I'm a haggard history teacher. She can easily hurt me. Well, not me, Klaus me, but you know what I mean." Said Klaus.

"What if Maddox put a protection spell on you? And then you go after her, make her use up all that power and then ding dong the witch is dead. Ask Maddox about it." I said.

"Sometimes, Jasper, you still surprise me. I have to go. Don't be late too the dance." Klaus says then hangs up. I rolled my eyes and dropped my phone on the chair.

"I think you look very dashing in that suit, sir." Said one of the workers.

"So do I. I think I'll get this one." I smirked and sped over to the worker. There was no one else here except for us. "You'll let me walk out the door without paying and you'll go on with your day like nothing happened." I compelled. He repeated after me and I walked out with a smile on my face.

60's dance, here I come.
