It's getting to dark, too dark to see...
Summer evening birds are calling
Children's laughter in my ears
The last sunlight disappears.
All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be
And all in all you're just another brick in the wall.
The child has grown,
The dream is gone,
And I have become comfortably numb.
Of all a million tear-stained eyes,
Don't be surprised when a crack in the ice
Appears under your feet
You slip out of your depth and out of your mind,
With your fear following behind you
As you claw the thin ice.
The wall was too high
As you can see...
No matter how hard he tried,
He could never break free.
