Rebecca's POV

We stepped off the train, onto a rundown platform. We walked down the steps looking to see if we could find anybody as a car drove by. I started waving to see if they noticed us but they kept driving.

"The professor knew we were coming, right?" Susan questioned.

"Maybe we've been incorrectly labeled." Suggested Edmund. As a lady with a horse and a carriage came trotting up the street.

"Missus McCreedy?" Peter asked.

"I'm afraid so," She sighed " Is this it then, haven't you brought anything else?"

"No, ma'am, it's just us." Peter said as Lucy and I looked at each other and shook our heads. Missus McCreedy then said something else but I wasn't paying attention, I was looking at Edmund, we shared a sad look and boarded the carriage.

We walked inside the house and the grouchy lady started ranting.

"Professor Kirke is not accustomed to having children in his house," she paused heading towards the stairs,"and as such there are a few rules we need to follow, there will be no shouting or running, no improper use of the dumbwaiter. NO touching of the historical artifacts!" She looked at me and Susan as we were about to touch the marble head.

"Above all there will be no disturbin' the professor." I glanced at the door and continued walking with Edmund.

(The next day)
It was pouring rain and we were stuck inside, Edmund and I were playing chess, Peter and Susan were laying the most boring game ever and Lucy was looking out the window.

"Gastrovascular," Susan said, "Come on Peter Gastrovascular."

"Is it Latin?" Peter said sarcastically.

"Yes." Susan sighed.

"Is it Latin for worst game ever invented?" Edmund joked. Susan grunted as she slammed the book shut. Lucy walked over to us.

"We could play hide-and-seek!" Lucy suggested. Peter glanced at Susan.

"But we are already having so much fun." Peter's sarcasm getting the best of him.

"Come on Peter, pretty please!" Lucy exclaimed batting her puppy dog eyes. Peter looked at her and started counting. We all ran off. I went to Lucy, Susan and i's shared bedroom and crawled under the bed. I sat there waiting till Peter came up after he counted to one hundred.

Lucy then started shouting, " I'm here I'm here! I've come back, I'm all right."

"What on Earth are you talking about Lucy?" Asked Susan.

"Why, haven't you all been wondering where I was?" She asked.

"Isn't that the point of hide-and-seek?" I asked.

"But I've been away for hours and hours!" Said Lucy.

"What do you mean, Lu?" Peter asked.

"What I said, we were playing hide and seek and I went into the wardrobe and I've been away for hours and hours, and had tea, and all sorts of things happened."

"Don't be silly, Lucy. We've only just started hide and seek." Susan explained.

"She's not being silly at all," Peter said, "she's just making up a story for fun, aren't you, Lu? And why shouldn't she?"

"No, Peter, I'm not," She said." It's a magic wardrobe. There's a wood inside it, and it's snowing, and there's a faun and a witch and it's called Narnia; come and see."

"I believe her," Edmund said," haven't you guys seen the football field in the downstairs cupboard." I elbowed him he then glared at me. Susan then opened the wardrobe and showed that it was just in fact a "regular" wardrobe.

"I believe you, Lucy." I say. " I don't understand why you guys don't believe her, she's not one for telling lies or fibbing." Everybody looked at me and Peter pulled me aside.

"Why would you give in to her lies? I now know why you and Edmund are best friends you love seeing other people's pain." Peter whispered.

"I'm not trying to feed into it,I do believe her and I don't find joy in seeing other people's pain he's my friend because he's been there for me my whole life." I said while starting to tear up. I walked away and stormed off Lucy followed me.

"Thank you for believing in me." Lucy sniffled. She gave me a hug and walked away. I went to the room I was once hiding in and sat by the bed crying as I held onto the picture of my parents. Someone then walked in.

"Go away!" I yelled. The young boy didn't obey walked over to me gave me a hug, he knew that it was the only way to comfort me when I was sad. Then he sat down next to me, I sniffling as the tears came to a stop. I just sat there staring at the picture and slowly falling asleep.

(I'm so happy this book is coming together, I have an idea on how this book will come together and I hope you guys like it. Also Edmund and Rebecca are best friends *right now at least* if you didn't get that. Have a great day and thank you for reading. )
