This chapter is extremely sad, with feels that broke my heart to write. Sorry for the drama but that's what I do! Grab a box of tissues if you need before starting... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Anyways, before I start the chapter, I also want to say thank you for reading and all your votes and comments are great!

Love you all...

Amber's POV

"Just breathe, Lena. Everything will be okay." I cried, trying to keep her awake despite her barely breathing and her heartbeat slowing. "I'm so sorry, I should have been faster." I didn't bother to stop the flood of tears coming from my eyes, I couldn't take any of my attention off of Lena.

"I'm here," She gasped, "With you," Blood was trickling down her lips, "That's all that matters."

"Just focus on the sound of my voice, baby." I didn't know what else to do. I couldn't move her, I didn't even know what the imposter had done to her. All I could do was hold her while I waited for the DEO teams to arrive.

"Remember when we first met?" She smiled and I noticed a tear ready to fall down her cheek.

"Of course I do. It was only my second day being out in the world as Supergirl and I heard you scream for help. You were being mugged by a group of aliens. I took them all to the DEO and flew back to you. You told me your name and instead of saying I was Supergirl, I accidentally told you my real name. We became fast friends, meeting up every night since." I wiped the tear from her eye and held her closer. "Then, about a week later, I had been in this huge fight and instead of going to the DEO to heal, I landed on your office balcony. You patched me up and we sat on the couch, watching a movie." She laughed, obviously recalling that night.

"It was when we decided to try and date, to take it slow." Her words were slurred and I could barely hear her. My focus was still on listening to her heartbeat, scared that at any moment, it could stop.

"Then, not a month later, we became a thing and we told Alex." I moved a strand of hair from her face which I now noticed was starting to go cold.

"Amber..." She whispered. "Come closer." I slipped a hand underneath her back, now realising what was wrong from what I felt. Her back was broken, I could feel it slightly shifted. It made me feel slightly sick to think about it but I shook off the feeling and continued to bring her closer to me. Finally, our lips were just not touching and she was smiling.

"Just hold on." I kissed her, never before having felt the emotion of a kiss like this. It was like someone was literally shooting fireworks throughout my entire body. When I opened my eyes, she giggled. "What?"

"I wanted your eyes to be the last thing I saw," She said, her body going limp and her eyes glassy and cold. I frantically listened for her heart but I heard nothing. Screaming for her to wake up, I finally decided to move her and I flew her straight to the DEO, placing her carefully on one of the beds and watched as various doctors did everything they could to help. They did try, but they failed and I lost the first person outside of the Danvers' who had ever accepted me as family.

Kara's POV

I walked into Catco, feeling as though all eyes were on me. I had used my powers for the first time. Flown for the first time. I took down an alien, sort of, for the first time. I reached my desk and noticed that Lena wasn't in her office. I figured she must be in the hospital after that lookalike did a number on her last night.

"Kara?" I spun to see Mike, or ... Mon-El, I guess.

"Mike!" I didn't know what to say or do. He had met Amber so he must have known that I am related to her. "What... how..." I tried to think of small talk. "How are you?" As I stared into his eyes, I noticed something behind them that spoke of pain and guilt.

"I'm fine." He said, putting an arm on my shoulder. "Meet me on the roof in an hour." He whispered into my ear and walked away. I furrowed my brow and sighed.

I fiddled with my necklace as I ran up the stairs to get to the roof. It had been an hour and sure enough, he was standing at the edge. "Why are we up here? I'm not too good with heights." I suddenly realised how ironic that would sound to anyone that knew I was Supergirl's twin sister.

"That's hilarious." He turned and had a completely different look on his face than earlier. It was more open an honest. I could see more of the hurt and sorrow that I caught a glimpse of earlier.

"So you know?"

"That you look exactly like Supergirl? Yep." He confirmed. I stepped closer so we were both standing on the edge. I refused to look down, scared that if I fall, my necklace would be the only thing keeping me from not dying. It takes five minutes for my powers to return if I take it off, so I would be screwed. "Just one question."

"Okay?" I crossed my arms and took a step back from the edge, now aware of the danger.

"Can you fly like her?" I was about to ask what he meant but before I could I found myself falling quickly towards the ground.
