Salvation

Chapter 9

Its been a week since i had a conversation with my parents and i feel a bit at ease knowing i have people to talk to if things get hard. My father came back late that night and promised to replace the chairs. He told me he loved me and he's not mad at me. But if he ever sees my mate he will give him a good beating. That night I slept at a B&B in our town cause I knew they would be going at it like rabbits because of the anger dad had. They came back yesterday  from their getaway. This time was good for me since I got to think.

My wolf was more aggressive whenever I tried to shift, making my fear of being pregnant even more realistic. That's why today we going to see a human doctor so we can confirm if I'm pregnant or not. If we were to go to our pack doctor, the news would spread before the end of the day and the last thing I need is the Alpha family in my case. That's why I'm sitting in a car with parents for the last one hour and thirty minutes. "What are you gonna do if you really pregnant? "My father asks,I haven't thought about that."I will raise my child dad. He/She deserves love and a happy home and I'll provide it." He humms at my response "That's good baby,you'll make a great mother." My mother says with a smile. "I don't doubt that Lola but I'm asking in terms of the pack and Donovan." My heart sinks hearing his name. "Dad we'll talk about that once it's confirm I'm pregnant." He nods and we drive in silence for the rest of the way.

When we pull up the hospital, I'm a sweating mess. As we walk to the doctors office I want to run the opposite direction. My mom squeezes my hand with a smile. "Hi, We are here to see Doctor Mathews." My father tells the assistant and she says the doctor is waiting for us. "Calm down honey, whatever the outcome is, we'll support you all the way. "My mother stresses and I give her a smile smile. We quickly get in the office and the doctor enters with a smile. She looks like my age. "Hi, I'm Doctor Mathews, How can I help you today?" She asks looking between the of us. "Hi, I'm Lola and these are my parents. I just want to confirm if I'm pregnant or not. I give her small smile. "We certainly can do that, follow me the consultation room." I follow her behind. "Mom can you come with me." I smile apologetically at dad. It would be too weird with him. "I'm gonna need to you get on the bed and lie on your back." I do as I'm told and my mother is sitting on the chair with a smile. "Please lift your top. I will apply this gel on your tummy and the screen over there will make sounds if you are pregnant." The Doctor explains.

As she said the gel is cool against my skin but I can't focus on that. I hear a steady heartbeat. "Congratulations Lola,you are eight weeks pregnant and your baby is healthy, with a strong heartbeat." I can't help but cry at the joy of having my mate's baby, I cry for all the complications that I'm about to face. My life has changed drastically in matter of weeks. I feel hands wrap around my shoulders and I can't help cry more. "Don't worry child, everything will work it's self out."  My mother's words comfort me.

On my way home I can't help but stare at sonogram picture. I have a future growing inside me. My wolf giving me a headache as she is proud that she carries a future. She's become even more aggressive if people too close to me. This is our mates pup and we'll protect  the future with our lives. Before I know it, we back at home but I just need a moment to myself.  "I'm going for a walk,I'll be back soon and I'll keep the link open for you dad." I hug them. "Please be careful there." I nod and walk away.

I reach the clearing and sit down on a tree log. I'm trying to think of a ways to get out of my situation without anyone being hurt. I can leave the  pack,but I can't leave my Cafe and parents would be devastated. If I stay it will make people treat me like trash and there's a possibility of being banished. I sigh and decide to clear my mind and listen to nature. The air is moist, the leaves falling and animals running around the forest,sensations tell me it's bunnies. I also feel someone coming my way and I tense up I sniff the air and I catch Dovonan's scent. I sigh knowing I can't run away from him. He sits next to me and quiet for a few minutes.

"I've been looking for you. Where were you today?" Yep no greeting nothing. Sometimes I wanna slap this male for not having manners. "Hey to you too Don. I'm fine and you?" He glares at me. "I don't have time for games. Nobody saw you today." I shrug " I was around I just needed time to think, everything is stressful for me." I feel like crying because this male is responsible for complications I'm about to face. " it's gonna be okay Lola. I'll protect you." That angers me more "It's gonna be Okay? Have you forgotten that this is all your fault?I never asked to be your mate! Who will protect me from you!!" Tears are flowing freely. "I wish I can choose someone else but I can't. It's you I want." I click my tongue. "You a selfish bastard! What about your true mate!" He chuckles "I would reject for you. I love you." This guy is crazy than I thought. I stand up and start walking away then I turn to him.

"I'm sorry but I'm not going to be your wife or mate. You can't force me either. So do us a favor and choose someone else. " I talk three steps forward and yanked backwards harshly. Don is growling and teeth are lengthening."I will have you mate one way or the other." He says as he's nuzzling his head in my neck, teeth scraping my neck. My body is frozen in shock I realize he's gonna force his mark on me. I start crying till I hear a voice that haunts my dreams daily.
