Announcing The Engagement

The Next Day...
(Y/n)'s POV

I was wakened up by the sound of hailstones battering against the glass on the window. I rolled over to my left to see Levi sleeping peacefully next to me, I sat up in bed then made my way over to the window and sat on the windowsill and watched the hailstones and rain outside. I looked down at my new engagement ring and smiled to myself, it was a beautiful gold ring with a big diamond on it. It looked just like my mothers ring, my features began to soften as I began to think of my dead parents, thinking that they would love Levi and how they'd be so happy I had found "the one", tears soon began to flood my eyes, I tried to hold in the tears but it didn't work, my silent cries soon became loud sobs. Levi soon got up out of bed and rushed over to me, "what's wrong babe?" He asked me as he held me in his arms tightly, I wiped my eyes and sniffed. "Nothing, just thinking of my parents made me realise they're going to missing out on the happiest day of my life - our wedding" Levi sighed and kissed my forehead, "they'd be very proud of you, you're the best cadet I know. You're beautiful and strong, you're incredible. Don't be sad, they love you. They'll be watching you from above my dear" he said as he stroked my hair. I looked up at him and smiled, "thank you Levi, it means a lot to me that you're here to support me" he smiled at me softly and sat down next to me. "Of course, I'll always be here for you" I held onto his body tightly as he said this and smiled, "I love you Levi" he sighed and kissed my head, "I love you too gorgeous" i sighed, "what time is it Levi" I asked, he looked over at the clock on the wall, "6:10am" I groaned and stood up, "we have training in 50 minutes, I better go in for a shower" I looked over at Levi and smiled, "care to join me Mr. Ackerman" he smirked and nodded his head. "I thought you'd never ask" he said as he walked up to me and began to strip me.

Levi cleared his throat and yelled, "ALL CADETS MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!" everyone turned round and looked at him, "I have a special announcement to make...(Y/n) and I are now officially engaged!" Levi said as he pulled me closer to him, took the ring out of my pocket and placed it on my ring finger. I smiled at him and he kissed me on the forehead, "from now on you may only address her as Mrs Ackerman, just so you get used to it" Levi winked at me, I smiled back. "That is all you may proceed" Levi said as we both sat down at the small wooden table we were sitting at. "Thank you Levi.." I said, soon Armin and Eren and Mikasa came rushing over to talk to me. "ENGAGED!?" Eren shouted in disbelief, I nodded my head and smiled, Eren frowned slightly then smiled. Armin then said "Congrats you two! Hope I'll get an invite to the wedding eh?" He laughed, Mikasa just stared at my ring and smiled at me. "Pretty" she said in a monotone voice, "okay I think we've talked enough, we better go. Bye guys, congrats" Eren said as he rushed off with Armin and Mikasa. I smiled and shook my head, I have weird friends.

We then went to Erwin's office to announce the news and caught him and Hanji kissing, I smiled to myself as I saw this as I knew they'd end up together again. "Aw look at you two! Joint at the hip once again!" I said as I entered the office, they both smiled at me then looked at each other lovingly. "Yeah well his face is hard to resist" Hanji said as she pinched Erwin's cheeks. I giggled to myself, Levi held my hand next to me. "So what did you come here for" Erwin asked us, at that moment I showed them my left hand with my ring. Hanji gasped, "OMG! LEVI! BABY ACKERMANS ARE SOON CLOSE BY OMGGGGGG!" Hanji screamed with excitement as she jumped around the room, "wow that's a shocker, thought you would have done it by now Ackerman" Erwin smirked at Levi, Levi smirked back and then smiled. "Took me long enough didn't it" he said as he placed his arm around my waist, "I knew she was a keeper from day one" he said as he kissed my forehead, I smiled as I looked up at him. Hard to believe that we are going to get married in just a few months. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Levi....
