I jumped in and felt a burning sensation in my legs. I thought I was going to die. I tried to move my legs since I was a great swimmer, but they were stuck! I decided to do my famous 'dolphin swim'.I shot forward like a rocket! I was scared to look down but I did anyway. I saw a long black..... Thing with fins that shimmered. I screamed, letting out all my air. I then realized I had to breath. My lungs burned. I decided YOLO and breathed in. I was breathing!!!!!!!!!!! I then screamed again when something tan and wearing white jumped in.
Alyssa's POV🐚💗
I decided to jump in and save her like the little mermaid. I screamed when I saw something black in the water. Then I felt a burning in my legs. I had read PLENTY of mermaid books and this meant I was one. I breathed in the water. It felt good. I looked at my tail. It was sparkling and white with fins and my fin at the end had long trellises of crystals hanging off.
I had heard mermaids had powers, so I decided to take out that black thing. I was just about to blast it when I saw it was Vanessa!
